Seller cancelled sale because he was not happy with the price?
I won an auction for $50 which was the starting bid by the seller and noone else bid on it. I paid and he messages me to not bother paying because he is not parting with the items for $50. Then claims it is ebay's fault and that HE did not sell me anything, ebay did. I've bid on and bought things on ebay hundreds of times and this is a first. I don't know what to do? Just try to get a refund?

·3 years agoThis clueless seller has no feedback as a seller and no other Completed listings, so perhaps he doesn't understand how auctions work. We do see questions on this board, from new sellers, wondering about "accepting" bids on their auctions. They don't understand that anybody can place a bid on any auction and win it; the seller doesn't have some extra step of accepting their bid or not.
Since the seller doesn't understand how auctions work, he probably doesn't understand how refunds work, either. You'll just have to wait until you can file a claim for "Not received." Good luck!

eBay can not make the seller ship the item.
You have paid and if the item doesnt arrive., the day after the estimated delivery date, file a note received claim.
Since you have requested the seller refund you, you have let the seller off the hook.
Stop communicating with this "seller"
