Seller bidding on his own listing to gouge price
I put a bid on this machine after contacting the seller, then the bids started jumping up to almost 200.00, well I confronted him about it since it still had 3 days left and turns out it was him bidding on his own machine to jump up price. Now he won't let me even bid on it after he relisted it, when someone lol won for 185.00

Unless you had a question about the item's condition, model # or something else not in the description, why would you contact the seller in the first place? The bids did not start rising until you started bidding against the first bidder, who had placed a low automatic bid as their first bid.

Put your self in the other bidder's shoes. They placed the first automatic bid, and a few hours later, you started chasing them. Then you both bid like newbies only bidding automatically a few increments at a time. With you being the one reacting to their bids.
If they knew enough to look at your ID's bid history It would show 6 bids placed, 100% activity with the seller. The exact same as theirs, but you have a retraction. Who would you think is the shill if you were them? Would you consider requesting a cancellation, which is what they probably did?
You confronted a seller accusing them of shilling their own auction, and did not think they would Block you from bidding on their items in the future? Tell me what you would have done differently if you had been accused of using a shill.

If you accused the seller of nefarious dealings, whether he is guilty or innocent he is going to block you. That's the way it goes.

·2 years agoObviously a seller cannot bid up his own auction from the same account.
If you have/had proof that the seller controls both the listing and one of the bidding accounts you would have an actionable complaint to probably get him suspended if you could find someone to listen. But you probably don't, or you would be telling eBay and not us.
On the other hand, your suspicions are a perfect example why you shouldn't bid on an auction with 3 days left. Bid late, bid once, and bid your absolute max. (Sniping). Don't give anyone a chance to run up your bid. That's my advice.

·2 years agoI'm curious how you know "it was him bidding on his own machine to jump up price" and why you think that being outbid means the seller is shilling? I looked at the bid history on this listing, and the only thing that might indicate shilling is that he relisted it. Shillers don't want to win.
