Scammed?
I bought a FUJI xt4 camera from a seller and the package was shipped very quick by the second day.
But 3 days later USPS shows the pacakge was delivered in mailbox but I recived nothing.
And I went back checking the USPS tracking#, it shows me the pacakge was only 6.1 oz.
If there is a camera in the package, then it should be at least 30 oz.
tbh, I think I got scammed but this USPS miss delivery messed everything. I dont even know how to start this thing, should I request refund from the seller or USPS
Any suggestions?

so where did you see it show the package was only 6.1 oz?

OP3 years agoI did a Proof of Delivery on USPS and the information was inclued in it

·3 years agoUSPS is not supposed to give you the Proof of Delivery, since it's not your address on the shipping label?
That point aside @meke-8769 now leave a PRIVATE message here for eBay on Facebonk, upload that Proof of Delivery and tell eBay you have a weight problem, to get your refund.

I think the USPS system dont care who is asking the Proof of Delivery.
They only need the tracking number and a email address and they send it to that address.
But the detail address was not given on the Proof of Delivery though, only the state, city, and zip.
Also, where can you find how many boxes was for the shipment?

Carriers like UPS and FedEx show the total pieces and weights, and FedEx also shows the dimensions given the tracking number, for anyone in the public wishing to review the package details.

OP3 years agoI guess this is the USPS problem.
I just did some research and I found my situation is very close to a fake tracking number scam. (classic ebay scam, many record about this you can find)
This is when the seller ship some random stuff to a changed address that at different street but same city and state. So from the USPS tracking it will only shows me that package was delivered at city, zip but there is no way I am the person who reciveing it.
I am planning to go to the PO to check if the reciver address match with my address, the weight can be another good proof aswell.
Ironicly I also bought a 2 year repair plan for that camera🤡. I have to do a return for that aswell unless that repair company can fix my not existed camera.

When you go to the P.O. bring a copy of your Order Details page, or if you used a portable deviced to buy, phone/tablet, bring that with you to show the clerk. It has your address and the item you purchased. It helps sometimes if you bring a spec sheet of the item as well, since it has the size and weight of the item. Olympus T4, weight w/ battery 8.7oz, dimensions 4.4" x 2.6" x 1.2".
If the info about the address and/or package type/size/weight doesn't match up have the clerk write a note on USPS stationary saying the address does not match that of the order details page, and that the package info is not right for what you bought. The clerk cannot give specifics about the address but can write that in general. Have them sign and date the note.
When you contact ebay through either their Facebook or Twitter social media pages, you will need to have the seller's username and the eBay item number. You write out what happened and what you found out from the P.O., and can add a clear photo or scan of the note to your claim. Sign it with your real and ebay username.

Once you get a reply to your message authorizing the refund. Call the 800 number that shows up on your feedback from Allstate Square trade. I do not know if those reps can receive an email with a link, screen shot or copy of the refund message or not, but you can ask them what proof of the cancellation they need for them to authorize a cancellation and refund of the policy.
FYI, Before buying a Square Trade policy for an ebay purchase, check its terms. The terms for how old an item is, or its condition may be such that what you bought will not be covered, even though they will issue the policy. Once you receive an item purchased on ebay, you can go back to the listing and buy the warranty.
