Scammed
So I preordered an item from ***on June 14th 2023, it was for a pre-order item totalling US $576.11. When November came, I contacted the seller for an update, they asked me to wait until end of November, so I waited, then end of November came and they asked me to wait until end of December (I've had this happend with other pre-orders of this nature so I didn't think anything suspecious was happening) Now in January they have simply stopped replying, despite me asking for more updates and eventually I asked for my money back.
I eventually was able to get a hold of an ebay representative, I explained my situation and asked if they could help. They pointed out that it was past the 90 day Money Back Gunratee but if I feel I've been scammed they would help. It's been two weeks now since that call and I haven't heard from either the seller or ebay.
I've been using ebay for over 10 years now and I've never had this happen before. Now that it has I feel like I've been thrown to the curve. As a customer I feel we are not taken care off and even if we want to make the argument that it was past the 90 days and I can't get my money back, ok but why can't I so much as leave a bad review? Or report them as scammers?
This is the worst customer service exerpiece I've ever had. I'm never using this website for another pre-order ever again, and if it violate ebays 90 day policy where is the option to report the seller?
I've contated Paypal and my bank and they both asked that I get ebay to hlep me resolve this.

·2 years agoIn the original listing when you placed your order, what was the exact last estimated delivery date?
The 180 days that most credit cards will give you to do a chargeback starts running on that date.
First preorders are supposed to be shipped within 30 days. eBay's Money Back Guarantee is 30 days not 90.
In order to get Money Back Guarantee refund you would've needed to request a refund up to 30 days from the last estimated date of delivery...unfortunately that time has long passed. Plus the transaction is more than 90 days old eBay can no longer assist.
PayPal gives you 180 days from the last estimated date of delivery to file a chargeback credit cards may have the same time frame.
Feedback can be left 60 days from date of purchase.
Sorry, but it looks like you waited too long to do anything.
