Saved searches not sending new items

I have several "saved searches" and get emails regularly with the same items I've already seen. It is suppose to send me emails when new items are posted, right? That is what is says when you save a search.

Does anyone else have this problem? Solution?

A 'good 'til cancelled' listing renews every 30 days if it doesn't sell. At that point the listing is seen as a new listing and will show up in saved searches. There's no way around it.
