Rude sellers sending comments

Anyone else receiving rude comments in their personal messages by other dealers or customers lately. I don't believe I've been talked to so rudely but one other time since 2008.

Rude seems to be the new way to communicate. Annoying to say the least.

Rude, entitled, offensive and on and on.

All we can do is not respond in kind and follow our own standards for respecting others.

Yes, I recently had a seller berate me for leaving negative feedback after repeated efforts to get information, another item shipped or some discussion about how to resolve a "lost in shipment" after a month of waiting. I was:

Told negative feedback would be returned in like kind, "that's how it works" they said.
Told I was a POS, stupid, would never be sold to again.

eBay is becoming a street market roamed by thugs and con artists. Buyer beware, you ARE alone, eBay has done absolutely nothing on the two serious breaches of policy I've reported recently. (Both were attempts to pay for item outside of ebay, circumventing any/all protections. And revenue for ebay ironically).

Nonsense. Yes there are rude sellers. The point here is that it is certainly NOT confined to sellers. It is the whole enchilada of communication be it buyer or seller.

YES! I just started a new post about this very thing. 3 rude sellers in as many weeks, two of them off their rockers. Seems to a thing lately.

You can report abusive or threatening language in Messages using the Report button IN the message. This was added back into My Messages about a month ago.

And if it's like it was when the report button was there before, eBay will tell you to report it to law enforcement if you feel threatened and that they're 'investigating'. Then they'll file it in the circular file with all the other reports.

Consider yourself blessed that you haven't had anyone speak to you rudely in the past 15 years. It's now the norm both in person and online. Best of luck to you....
