Review of offer.
I recently made an offer on an item. I was never notified that my offer was accepted. I have made offers on items and I feel sure that I was always notified and I could review my offer.
However, I was charged and the item has been shipped and on the way. If I could have reviewed my offer I would have retracted it because upon further reading it was not exactly what I wanted. Is this a new procedure?
Please advise.

·8 months ago....and this is exactly how it should work, if a buyer initiates an offer and it's accepted. There are no "...and buts, let me rethink my offer..."

·8 months agoAgreed with everyone. Nothing new pertaining to the "Make offer" procedure. It is always best to thoroughly read the listing description & possibly ask your seller any necessary questions before you make your offer. Once you make your offer & your seller accepts you are kinda' locked in. Dont' stress over it - take this as a learning experience.

·8 months agoThis isn’t new — on eBay, an offer is legally binding once the seller accepts it, even if you miss the notification. Sometimes acceptance emails land in spam or app alerts don’t trigger, but the purchase still goes through automatically. At this point your only option is to request a cancellation/return with the seller once it arrives.

Time to do further reading is before making an offer. Unfortunately you found that out the hard way.
As reallynicestamps noted make your watchlist your friend if you aren't sure..................

·8 months agoWe also have a Watch List which allows us to save interesting items for later review.
Putting an item on our Watch List often, but not always, triggers the seller to make a Best Offer at a lower price.

·8 months agoDidn't you read the listing and description before making your offer? When you read it, you learn whether it's what you want and if it isn't, you shouldn't be making an offer.

·8 months agoNo it's not a new procedure. Making an offer means you WANT to BUY that item. You asked Seller, "I want to BUY your item, will you take $XXX for your item? I am willing to pay $XXX? " Your "Review" of the Offer was WHEN you made the offer.
Seller took your offer. You bought it.
Carry on......

·8 months agoNo, not new.
If the seller has their buyer requirements set to "Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid/offer" you would have seen the message on the "make offer" screen before you submitted your offer.
See here:
The time to "review" your offer and the item is before you submit it.
