·8 months agoDespite all the kudos @my_boston_baked_beans the truth actually is
-- the seller has a deadline of only 2 business days to refund after tracking shows returned
-- and you have 10 business days to ask eBay to step in, if the seller still has not refunded by that deadline.

OP8 months agoOkay, so this really answers my question.
I can NOT ask ebay to step in until after the refund date, which in my case the 27th. So, I assume on the 28th there should appear a place to click on *ask ebay to step in*? Is that correct?
thanks

·8 months agoIf tracking shows that your return was delivered back to the seller on Jan 23 Friday
then today Mon Jan 26 and Tue Jan 27 are the 2 business days eBay gives the seller to refund.
But if the seller does not refund, then about 10 minutes after midnight Pacific Time on Jan 28, eBay will likely force the refund automatically, so you won't need to click Ask us to step in.

·8 months agoIf you started a "not as described" return within thirty days of receiving the item and you used eBay's return label, if the seller has not refunded within three business days of tracking showing delivery you should be able to ask eBay to step in and force a refund. If you do not ask eBay to step in within twenty-one business days, eBay will close the case without a refund.
Check the status of your case here:

·8 months ago@my_boston_baked_beans The link is also on the return case you opened.
Simply return to the return case in your 'my purchases' (returns will be at the bottom); click it and there is a box to click to 'escalate to ebay'.
