I’m asking seller for a return label but he is wanting me to try to fix it first. It’s an e bike and has 30 E on it and from what I’m reading it’s hard to fix

·1 year agoYou should not do that, that would void your eBay money back guarantee, it must be returned in the same condition as you received it. It's also not the sellers choice. Do not "ask" for a return label, don't even bother engaging with the seller if you don't want to. Go to your purchase history, find the item (you may have to click on "more actions", then select "return this item" and then (THIS IS IMPORTANT) select "item defective". The seller will be notified by eBay and have three days to issue you a shipping label, if they do not, on the 4th day go back to the return and escalate the case to eBay.
You only have one chance to do the return, if you close it, you cannot reopen it.

OP1 year agoThank you for your response. Seller wanted me to cancel reurn. I did not cancel and i got the return label and sent it back. I’m gad I found this forum. So after he gets it back, it says I should have a refund in 3 days

·1 year agoAgain, it's very important that ALL buyers get well acquainted with the MBG.
It can save you a lot of time and effort if you know exactly what to do if/when a transaction goes wrong.

If it's just something a bit loose fair enough. But if it involves dismantling and anything technical that would be a no for me.

·1 year agoThere's no eBay requirement that a buyer with a defective item has to try to repair the defect, none at all.
If you haven't yet opened an item not as described case, do it now, you only have 30 days.
And another thing you need to do is read the Money Back Guarantee for buyers.

·1 year agoTell the seller you're not comfortable trying to fix it because you read it's difficult. Tell them you'd prefer to return it in the same condition you received it so you'll file a return request.
Have you filed a formal return request yet? If you haven't, do that after you message the seller.
