Return is closed
Let me first state that I never order from Ebay, so don't completely understand the ins and outs. I placed an order on Ebay last week for my employer. I ordered the wrong item. Seller sent the item I ordered (I believe it was also noted that item was not returnable). Now I find that the seller does have the item my employer asked for, and I requested an exchange. I got an email from EBay stating that the seller should get in touch with me, but when I click on the "See Return Details" at the bottom of the Ebay email, it takes me to a page that says "This Return is Closed". Does that mean I should not expect to hear from the seller and that a return is absolutely out of the question? Would appreciate any enlightenment on how I should proceed. TYIA

·3 years agoThe seller doesn't have to agree to or even respond to your request for an exchange, nor do they have to accept a remorse return if they have a no returns policy. It sounds like your only option is to do a separate purchase of the correct item. I'm hopeful you have an understanding employer. No one is born with a comprehensive knowledge of eBay.

·3 years agoI don't know why eBay is telling you the seller should get in youch with you. The seller doesn't have to accept a buyer's remorse return and they can simply decline the return you opened. That closes the case.
Maybe you can resell the item?
And buy the next one from a seller who has a return policy in case you don't like it when it arrives. When their return policy is returns accepted you can return it for any reason including you made a mistake and ordered the wrong one, the wrong, size, the wrong color, just don't like it, found it cheaper, etc.

Long read short... it sounds like you listed a (truthful) remorse reason and your 'No Returns' seller had the option to deny it. Sorry that you had a bad experience... many sellers would be happy to fulfill your request.
