Request Total Form Failed With Error Code 80302.
Used seller before and it worked prior to this. Prior orders would have several auction items able to go into a request total form and the seller could quote the price for shipping all of them. Except for this time the request total form cannot be submitted. Multiple attempts and each time it failed to submit and went to an error page, (the error page said if it happened more than once to contact Ebay). I have had no response from Ebay for a day, seller is waiting for the invoice request and I have no way to see if a customer service ticket has been raised or if the messages went to them. I checked online but there is no details I could find about Error code 80302. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

In looking at your profile page, I see you are located in Australia. However, you have posted your issue on the U.S. based site's www (ebay.com) community. The error code you posted may be one from the Australian site www (ebay.com.au). If you login to the Australian site's community you may get better answers than we can provide.
"Prior orders would have several auction items able to go into a request total form and the seller could quote the price for shipping all of them. Except for this time the request total form cannot be submitted".
Because many people seem to confuse Auctions one bids on, with Best Offer listings, where they enter their own price, I have to ask if you have done that?
If you had to enter a payment source/method in order to make an offer, that is why you cannot send a combined shipping invoice. Once an offer is accepted it is paid for, so the seller can only refund the excess shipping cost, if they will combine shipping.

OP3 years agothank you for responding @mudshark61369 I only use ebay dot com (which uses international shipping) as items in my cart will not transfer to the com dot au site (they would not appear at all even though they are in my cart for ebay dot com). I do not reside in Australia and have a address in my country NZ, and one in the US. To view the same item in the correct site the domain name for the country needs to be updated. So if I am navigating from a search page or link and it takes me to a different ebay site e.g. ebay dot co dot uk (often happens and I always correct the domain back to ebay dot com as soon as navigated) then I can view the item in the correct domain by changing it to ebay dot com That way it correctly populates the cart for my ebay dot com account to view it.
Not sure why you would think I use ebay dot com dot au or live in Australia. I hate poisonous spiders and snakes 🙂

This happens quite often. There are quite a few reason why the "request total" button throws an error. When this happens, especially with auction wins, you can contact the seller through one of those listings, let them know you are ready to pay, and please send a combined invoice. This has worked for me quite often, so you can give it a try if you use a computer.
Mobile users don't even have the "request total" feature at all much less one that only works sometimes.

OP3 years agoThank you ittybitnot, I will ask the seller to set up a combined invoice on their end. I hope it is not too onerous for them. Previously I sent them a message keeping them up to date, that I wanted to send the invoice request for the order but that there was an ebay error and that I was working to resolve it. The issue is still occurring today as well so I hope the seller has no similar error or issue on their side. I guess it depends on what the magic number error 80302 is 🙂

·3 years agoHave you tried using a different browser? Deleting cookies and clearing cache?
Are you on a mobile device? I hear apps have issues with requesting total from seller.
If you are on a mobile device try using your browser instead.
Those are all the fixes I can think of. Someone may be along to assist further.

OP3 years agoThank you for your reply. Yes I normally use a couple devices and browsers for this purpose (old tech eng habit for testing). Unfortunately the same error occurs. I just hope it resolves with time.
