Report suspicious seller activity (Report option gone)
Report option gone, so i had bring it to the forum again.
The customer service/ report suspicious activity doesn't work anymore?
It's always "We ran into a problem. Please try again later."
I know e-bay is being flooded with scammers and we just gave to wait it out when we get scammed.
But it used to be a lot easier to report a scammer 😞
This just one i ran into lately.

This Item retails for $1500 New, $800 used.
â–ºSelling new for US $244.24â—„
► The links to the sold items have changed now so the buyer can't keep track of there purchases? They link to another product for sale 😞 ◄
I have a hard time recommending ebay anymore.
And I am uneasy continue buying here now.
I've been here 16 years now and I've learned to roll with all this a long time ago because e-bay or PayPal has always covered me when i got scammed. Not happy. 😞
I'm not asking for any sappy apologies, or work arounds from new users tying to get there post count up. Just consider making some changes.
Thank You

As Ken wrote, in the bottom right of a listing page is a question mark inside of a circle. If you click on it a popup opens:
To submit the report you have to select from several reasons to file it before you get to a text box where you can be more specific. However, what are you going to report in this case? "The price is so low that it must be a scam"? Listing items with a suspiciously low price does not violate any ebay policies. You really need to have concrete proof from a listing in order for a report to have any effect.
Ex: Item title says Brand X, but the photos do not show the brand name and/or logo on the item where they should be. In the Item specifics, the line for, Brand: it says Unknown.
Even with that proof, it appears that ebay has A.I. checking reports and A.I. may not have the info it needs to verify the report. Such as stored exemplars of the product being reported.
What ebay is most concerned about is inappropriate payment methods or links that take the transaction off ebay. Even if the report is accepted, one report is not enough for ebay to remove the listing, it would take reports from several different users, before they would take any action.
If you are using the App and getting the "We ran into a problem. Please try again later." message, every time you try to send a report. Why not login the classic way with your username and password, using your device's browser. Maybe then you will be able to send your report.

·8 months agoYou can still report it, click the ? in the lower right.
Product or Listing and select item not allowed.
Scroll to the bottom on the list and select, you suspect a listing is fraudulent.
This is on a PC, if you're using the app, I don't know.
