Hello, I have a concern. On the 6th, I was officially confirmed a refund for an item worth $1300. However, until today, the request is still open and the refund has not been processed despite already being confirmed.
I have sent several emails and I only keep receiving responses telling me to wait another 3 to 5 business days. They even told me the refund would be processed by May 21st, which did not happen.
The request remains open and I still have not received my refund. I would appreciate a concrete solution or a real processing date.

·4 months agoI have a feeling this case you will end up going to your payment source/CC/Bank for a charge back. Collect as much info as you can, get the carrier's GPS shipping location to determine the delivered location is not your address. When you contact your bank's fraud department, you claim your "are the victim of the fake tracking scam". But, remember, when you go to your bank for help, that ends all possible help from eBay, so you do have time to let the eBay side play out before contacting your bank.
Determining if the package was signed for is huge information with eBay, that can also be used with your bank claim later. Any package with total value (including shipping & tax) over $750 needs the signature confirmation to be a completed delivery.
The OP kinda sounds like they filed an INR case which usually is the wrong case to file with the fake tracking scam, however ebay may be looking at whether or not the signature confirmation was attained. If not, then it just may be INR case...that could be the delay in the refund. I have no idea the time eBay takes to investigate that part

·4 months agoI'm not sure of the logistics in this case.
I don't doubt that it's a fake tracking scam but if tracking showed "delivered" but without a signature (for an item >$750), this would be a legitimate INR claim.
However filing INR for fake tracking is more involved.

Does tracking also show that "someone" signed for it?

Do not let the 30 days from delivery run out on your case.

·4 months agoAre you being refunded because you did not receive an item?
Are you being refunded because you did receive the item but it was not as described?
In the latter case, did you open an item not as described case within 30 days of receipt?
Is this the one where you left FB: Seller is a scam. Be careful?

Have you actually returned the item for which you are seeking a refund? Normally, a refund is not provided until the seller has confirmed receiving the returned item.

OP4 months agoIn reality, the item never arrived; it was simply marked as “delivered.”
I opened a request with eBay, and later I received an official email confirming that my refund had been approved. However, days passed, I sent additional emails asking for updates, and the request still remained open.
At this point, they continue giving me excuses and delaying the process, even though they already officially confirmed that my refund would be issued. This has been extremely frustrating and honestly gives a very poor buyer experience.

"I opened a request with eBay"
But did you actually open an official eBay "item not as described" case?
It sounds as if you either opened up an "item not received" case, or you simply "opened a request" (whatever that means).
Since you state that "it was simply marked as 'delivered'," you should not open an "item not received" case, as you may be the victim of a tracking scam.
Instead, you should have opened an "item not as described" case, as follows --
Go to your "Purchases" page, and find the item that was claimed "delivered".
At the far right is a column of blue ovals -- click on the one that reads "More actions," and then click on "Return this item."
That will take you to the "Return request" page.
Click on "Return reason," and scroll down to "Missing parts or pieces" -- click on that.
You will need to add a photo -- use a photo of the "Delivered" notification which you received.
Follow the rest of the instructions, and complete the return request.
Within a very short time, you will be able to download an official eBay prepaid return label -- put the photo of the "Delivered" notification in an envelope and tape the return label to the envelope, seal it and mail it.
Within a few days, you should receive your refund -- if the seller disputes the return, eBay will force the seller to refund.

·4 months agoYou will need to ask Ebay to step in to help you since your request is still open:
