Refund due to seller sending to wrong address
I have put in a claim for an item that I bought. The seller from EBay sent it to the wrong address United States Postal Service acknowledges it was not sent to my address like it was supposed to. They are not allowed to give me the address it was sent to. EBay decided they were going to deny my refund because All they’re saying is a package was delivered, but not to the right address. I have been trying for a week to get a hold of the seller and USPS in Greenville South Carolina just so you can see that I never received my $487.49 Batcave.
I sure hope somebody can help me with this that I don’t have to report EBay

Please read these for suggestions on what you need to do, and especially what NOT to do. For example, your c.card (chargeback) should be your last resort, but DO NOT CLAIM "item not received". The dispute will be sent to eBay, who simply responds with the same phony delivery confirmation and you will lose again.
You should contact eBay through one of these links. Explain you are a victim of a fake tracking scam. They know all about this issue that is over a decade old here and do have the authority to help you. Regular outsourced foreign cs agents you get in a call back or chat not so much. They used to require "written" documentation from the carrier, likely because it is just about impossible to obtain. The social media reps seem to be a bit more flexible, especially if it is NOT the seller's first rodeo

If you can obtain hard copy documentation of that the tracking does not correspond to a delivery to your address, contact eBay via social media and explain that you have a case of "false tracking" and you should be given the opportunity to provide your documentation to eBay via direct message. This is different than the usual "item not received" case which is handled automatically and which allows the seller to win by providing tracking that shows delivery.
You can avoid many issues entirely by choosing to only do business with experienced sellers that have a proven track record of delivering similar items as seen by examining the seller's feedback page, and by avoiding inexperienced sellers, sellers with patterns of negative feedback indicating serious problems, or sellers with large gaps in the selling history or recent drastic changes of seller behavior.

OP1 year agoToday is January 13th. I spoke with the United States Postal Service and I was informed that the tracking number that is attached to the Batcave that was supposed to be sent to Greenville, SC 29607 is not the right tracking number for that address. As I said before, we did not receive the package, it was delivered to the wrong address. I should be refunded $487.46 which was the price of the Batcave reasoning because it was not delivered to Greenville, SC 29607. You need to get in touch with USPS to find out where my package was delivered to

As was explained in a previous post, we are not ebay. This is a member to member forum. We have no police powers to inquire to USPS about anything. In these situations, unfortunately, all the detective work falls on the buyer in getting this resolved. As others have stated, you need to get written documentation from your local postmaster stating that the package was not delivered to your address.

eBay is not here; this is a user forum. No one else will do this for you but you.
You do not need to know where the package was delivered to because the package was not yours. It was addressed to someone else and almost certainly contains something other than what you ordered.
You will need to get documentation from USPS that says that that tracking number is not for a delivery to your shipping address so that you can pursue your case by contacting eBay via social media.

You're saying a seller can ship things to themselves, show delivered, and then screw over the buyer? It can't be THAT simple.

You have posted your address to everyone here.
Im not sure who you will "report" eBay to but Im 100% sure it will not help.
Do you have a letter, not email, from USPS that says the tracking number was not your address?
eBay has no way of seeing the address the item was sent to. Just like you USPS cannot give eBay the address.
Also all of these "not delivered" cases are decided by AI. If it shows delivered, then thats it.
eBay needs a better way to report these scams but so far hasnt come up with one.
You can do a lot of work and appeal the case but the easiest way to get refunded is to file a charge back with your CC.
Make sure you have something in writing from USPS that says the tracking number was not to your address.
