Refund
It is totally unbelievable that I can't get a refund on an order that is going to take over a month to be delivered within the US. I was told that it was too late to cancel which is a lazy excuse to not be responsible for a seller that is incompetent in following company guidelines. After this I will never shop on Ebay, I will go to Amazon who has better customer service.Â

All you had to do was, on the day after the last estimated delivery date, go to the item in your purchase history and click 'I didn't receive it' under More actions. Four days later go back to the case and ask eBay to step in. Then you get a refund, all through a fully automated process. No "useless assistant", no negative feedback rants necessary. If you'd like more information about eBay's Money Back Guarantee (which, btw, is linked in every listing) you can read about it here:

·8 months agoYup, I've got an order I paid for and the seller "generated a tracking number" but nothing. No answer either. I probably goofed up and left negative feedback which I've never done but I'm through with this platform. The useless "assistant' says it understands. What a joke! I have a feeling ebay is now a lot like scammer on facebook . I'm waiting few days to see if this lying "top seller" refunds me or sends out what I bought. After this I'm through . Been on ebay since March of 02

·8 months agoPer eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, if/when a buyer hasn't received his purchase by the last estimated delivery date as seen in the listing, and there is no online viewable tracking proving otherwise, that buyer can open an item not received case the day after the EDD. Feel free to leave if you want, it's your perogative, but don't you want to be made whole before you exit? Â

The estimated delivery dates are also shown as you check out and pay.
Â
You just have to wait until 1 day after the latest estimated delivery to file an item not received case if you have not received your item.
Â
The eBay MBG is self service.

It should be mentioned that a successful chargeback from your payment source at this point is not guaranteed, as they will also note that the seller's stated delivery time hasn't yet been exceeded. And once you open a dispute elsewhere you close the door on opening a case with eBay. So if your dispute with your payment source is denied, that's the end of the road.

·8 months agoHi again @cmackenna58Â
Â
Our answers likely will be the same as they were four days ago when you posted about this. Â
Â
The Estimated Delivery Date (EDD) must have been in the listing at the time you purchased the item ... so you must not have noticed it OR checked for it before buying. Sellers are allowed to have a handling time of up to a month ... so there is no incompetence on the seller's part for having a lengthy time.
Â
You are free to shop wherever you want. If you think that Amazon's third-party sellers are superior to eBay's ... then by all means go there. Don't expect nervana. Â
Â
You can request a chargeback from your payment source if you absolutely cannot wait until the EDD to file a claim. Â

·8 months ago'too late to cancel'...but it was your mistake to make the purchase...not the seller who offered the product for sale.
And 60 % of Amazon sellers are independent sellers just like eBay...some of the same sellers on eBay are also on Amazon selling the same items.

·8 months agoYou can get a refund. It's called ebay's MBG. But it sounds like all you want to do is complain here, so I'm not sure what good a money back guarantee will do if you don't want to use it?
Bye, Felicia.  Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

·8 months agoYou need to understand how the refund process works. If a seller ships off an item then yes it's too late to cancel. It's not considered a lazy excuse. The seller technically doesn't have to cancel a transaction. When in transit you have to wait 1 day after the estimated delivery date then you can file a case against the seller as "item not received." Now if a package is running behind then you are notified and all you can do is wait. Things happen when purchasing stuff online. You can't just say "I want a refund" and expect an immediately decision on it. There is a process. This process is the same process with Amazon by the way.Â

OP8 months agoThe package hasn't been shipped and wasn't when I tried to contact him. I know how the refund process works because this isn't my first time that I have had to get a refund. He also states on his ad that he doesn't
 '
give refunds, but Ebay can't read and told me to see about getting a refund from him.

·8 months agoIf you tried to cancel instead of filing an Item Not Received claim, then you don't actually know how it works. Please take the advice being offered rather than being rude and insulting to the people volunteering their time and knowledge.
Â
Sellers cannot change the listing after you have purchased it, so that is not true.
bonanza125
·8 months agoMost reputable sellers would cancel the order and issue you the refund if the package hasn't been shipped. Unfortunately now it's a waiting game until 1 day after the estimated delivery date. Well the seller can say that but true "As-Is No refund" doesn't exist.Â
soh.maryl
·8 months agoIf you "know how the refund process works", then you are well aware that a seller's "No Refunds" stance is overridden by eBay's Money Back Guarantee, which, BTW, you really need to read.Â
eBay offers good protection when/if a buyer has a problem, if the buyer uses the MBG to his advantage in a timely fashion. Â

·8 months agoIt is totally unbelievable that people don't know that:
a.) There is basically NO customer service at Amazon
b.) 80% of listings on Amazon are from 3rd Party Sellers that ship up to 30 days later- but it IS shown, just like it is here on eBay.Â

·8 months agoNot sure what you’re talking about, but someone who spends over $1K on Amazon, per month , there is a customer service that actually extremely effective when/if transaction goes south…and returns are effortless…

·8 months agoSorry you're unhappy that you apparently did not notice the extended delivery time.
Posting this twice won't make any difference in the outcome.
You are, of course, free to shop wherever you want. Be sure to read the rules first. Â

Im sorry, but its not possible for a seller to add shipping times after purchase.

·8 months agoI agree...all items state 'delivery : estimated date of delivery....'
If an item is coming from another country...tracking usually doesn't show up right away...especially if from China.
Most of the those replying here sell and buy.
