If you didn’t confirm the order … then no payment money would have been taken from your account and no shipping information would have been given to the seller. The seller would not know anything about you and would have no reason to ship you anything. This puzzles me. 🤔
Is the item showing in your Purchase History? Did you file an official return request … or just refuse delivery?

It sounds like you just returned the item on your own without opening a return request through ebay.
If that's the case, it's just exactly as others have stated - ebay has no record of your return actions, and can't help you.

·9 months ago@c374-98 ...depending on what you did and how you went about a return, you may never get your money back from eBay. You need to provide more info for any of us to know your options

When you place an order, it is automatically 'confirmed'.

You ordered, he shipped, you received. After you received the package, if you did not file a return claim through eBay, but just returned the package to the seller on your own, eBay has no record of the return. Therefore, the seller is not obligated to refund your money.

As @albertabrightalberta , wrote, you did confirm and pay for the order, or the seller would not have shipped it. If you contacted the seller about a return did they respond? If they had a no return policy they would no have had to accept a return, especially since you only returned it because " I let him know I didn't want it". which is a Buyer's remorse reason for a return, which makes you responsible for the return shipping. When you sent the item back did you send the seller a message with the tracking number? If not you should have.
You should have read about ebay's Money Back Guarantee, then you would have known how to deal with the issue. Open the link below and click on the button for Return requirements and return shipping in the left column.
FYI. if the seller does refund you, you will only get a refund for he item cost, not the original shipping cost.

·9 months agoYou did confirm the order or else the order wouldn't have existed in the first place. When you received the item did you file an official case against the seller and printed out a return label? We need more information about how you handled that process. If you didn't handle the process correctly then don't expect a refund.

Did you respond to an offer as in "or best offer"?
If you did as far as I know you did confirm the order by making an offer.

Please explain what you mean by the above statement.
If you bought and paid for an item, you DID confirm it. And if you changed your mind and requested a cancellation, the seller was NOT obligated to accept your cancellation request.

·9 months agoIf you received an item and opened a return request, then there will be a tracking number showing when the item is delivered back to the seller. If the seller does not refund within 2 business days, you can ask ebay to step in and they will issue the refund.
If you refused delivery of a package, then you forfeited your rights with the Money Back Guarantee. They may choose to refund you, but they are not required to.
If a seller was able to send you a package, then you did order it and pay for it because a seller can't see your shipping details until you have bought the item. Whether you "confirmed" it or not, you placed an order.
