refund
Hello
After 20 years of positive activity on ebay as a buyer or a seller I got the surprise that they give a **bleep** on you. I bought an fake item and i asked a refound, I recognized that I didn 't wait for a retourn lebel because in the past it was not like this, but I called ebay, I explained my situation and they told me that everyting will be O.K. They told me to wait 7 working days and I will get the refund. The big surprise was that after 7 days without any message from them I called them and they told me that is me who will lose money. Good job ebay, a really big company if you got problems to refund 20 $ for a registered letter that you asked me to sent to the seller and keep the receipt for the refund. Their agents are not able to try to really help you, when you ask something they are not able to find a solution they are repeting like parrots the phrases they lerned during the training. Dissapointing service for a company who claims to be a serious company. This is not about my 20 $ dollars that i lost it's about your seriosity like a company. So take care when you got troubles you will be alone.

Both of the previous responses to your issue are correct. You cannot call ebay directly, especially from Canada, and you should have filed a not as described dispute.
"I bought an fake item and i asked a refound, I recognized that I didn 't wait for a retourn lebel because in the past it was not like this".
It was "like this" in the past, but likely because you bought from sellers located outside of Canada, they refunded you without asking for a return, because of the cost of an international return shipping label. If a seller wants an item returned, you may have to go to your post office or go Canada Post online to get a calculated shipping cost to return the item back to a seller with tracking, (it does not have to be a registered letter) and send it to them and they would either have to provide the funds, or refund you the original shipping item cost and return shipping cost once hey received the item back.
Since you are a fairly experienced seller, you should know how the Money Back Guarantee (MBG) works. The procedure is the same on both the U.S. and Canadian sites. It is just as important for sellers to know how the MBG works as it is for buyers.

·2 years agoYou haven't been able to call eBay since the pandemic. You can request a callback, but even that requires jumping through multiple hoops. If you called eBay with a number you found on Google, it wasn't eBay. It was most likely a scammer.

·2 years agoYou went about the return all wrong.
There is no need to contact eBay as returns are automated.
You should have opened a NOT AS DESCRIBED return.
The seller would have sent you a label or issued a refund within 3 business days.
If by the 4th business day you don't get a return label or refund you can return to the return case and ask eBay to step in, then you will get your refund.
If the seller sends you a return label you would have approximately 15 business days to return the item, once the seller has received your return he has 2 business days to refund you.
If by the 3rd business day you don't get a refund you can return to the return case to ask ebay to step in.
Now your next option is to file a NOT AS DESCRIBED chargeback through your credit card company or PayPal which ever way you paid. You have up to 180 days from date of delivery to do so.
