Rating items in feedback
Why do we now have to rate items in seller feedback. This absolutely, inarguably a bad idea. I should NOT have rate an item when I am rating a seller. Furthermore, as a seller, i dont like this. It would be ridiculously easy for a buyer to rate me poorly when they meant to rate an item poorly. Please get rid of this.

I agree that ebay forcing people to rate an item, they have only had for a short time, was not a smart idea. However, since a buyer has to select what type of feedback they are going to leave, before they can rate an item. Rating one, will not affect the seller at all. Sellers have always been able to be rated on a product's quality, functionality ... etc., even though feedback is supposed to be about seller performance.
The product stars, like the ones for Description, Shipping cost, or communications. Do not affect a seller's rating. eBay stopped using the DSR stars for that years ago. Since this started I have rated all products as ( 3 ) stars. Neither good or bad.
