    If they did that over a $10 T-shirt, I would think they would worry MUCH MORE about a $20,000 Car in which the buyer says 'needs work' without detailing what that means....or states 'everything works' but when you message them, the horn, heater, stereo, blinkers and speedo don't work.

    Probably best to just leave things as is- let those that have a clue thrive.

    Well, some buyers don't care about measurements.   I wouldn't have any use for a measuring tape across a shirt or down a pair of pants.  Maybe if a seller has mostly buyers that don't care about measurements, there isn't a great justification for going through the work to add measurements to each listing.

    I just bought three shirts on eBay - all NWT, all from the same company (which is almost exclusively what I wear), all the same size.  I'm absolutely confident that the shirts will fit.  No measurements needed.

    And why the anger?  If measurements are such a no-brainer, I'd think that there are plenty of sellers that provide them.  There isn't a shortage of clothing on eBay - seems to me that you could just move on to the next listing if a seller doesn't have the right details that match your needs.

    @powell-collectibles

    Within the past year, I sold two identical men's shirts, same brand -- the medium measured wider than the large.

    Also, I've recently listed a Small women's top and a Plus size 1X women's top -- both with the exact same under arm measurement.

    So, I'm one of those people who rely on measurements and hate wasting my time viewing a listing that has none.

    Then this doesn't affect you. If I know the brand and the size, it's a different story. But that's not the case all the time. Am I going to just buy the same brand and the same shirt or pants all the time???  How Boring are your clothes??? I wear different tops and bottoms from different brands, and they do run different.  and I don't feel like buying items without knowing the measurements when I know there's no returns... DO YOU?????

    Are you aware that all caps online means you're yelling at people? It's rude and if you send sellers messages with all caps, they may think you're a difficult and angry buyer and ignore your messages and block you from their listings.

    I AM ANGRY, THATS WHY I POSTED THIS COMPLAINT, IF YOU HAD TO ASK 80% OF THE TIME FOR MEASUREMENTS, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?  IT ACTUALLY MAKES ME NAUSEOUS AND FRUSTRATED. I'M NOT RUDE,,, THEY ARE NOT GOING THAT EXTRA STEP TO JUST PUT A MEASURING TAP OR LIST THE MEASUREMENTS. ... DO YOU BUY CLOTHING WITHOUT MEASUREMENTS KNOWING YOU CAN'T RETURN THE ITEM???? ALL CLOTHING RUN DIFFERENT UNLESS YOU KNOW THE BRAND AND SIZE.

    < HOW MUCH TROUBLE CAN IT BE TO PLACE A DAM MEASURING TAPE ACROSS THE CHEST >

    I'd have said yardstick but I know what you mean.  The marketplace will ultimately winnow undesireable sellers out.  If the buyers want measuring tape, and the seller doesn't provide it, the buyers will shun that seller and he'll wither on the vine.  eBay doesn't need more rules.

    They could suggest it,,,,, I'd settle for anything,,, yard stick, or measuring tape, anything that tells me the pit to pit size waste size,  or inseam.

    Buyers just skip those listings.  The seller makes fewer sales.    More rules would only make it harder for eBay to enforce the ones they already have.

    They could make certain measurements required fields for posting -- such as underarm, waist, inseam, etc. depending on the category of garment.
    That would require no enforcement whatsoever.

    I agree. Sellers are actually reducing their chance of a sale by not including measurements.

    People are going to come at you for all caps, but I get an all caps attitude when I waste my time viewing listings without measurements.
