Purchase of a misrepresented item
Hi, I purchased an item for a complete mop system which had free shipping. What I received was just a mop head replacement. When I contacted the seller he wanted me to return the item. I asked for a call tag since this a free ship sale. This is a foreign seller, which I did not realize at the time of purchase, so I am not sure that he understood. We went back and forth and he still did not offer to refund my money. This item was definately misrepresented. I cannot contact ebay for help. What should I do?? I would appreciate any help. Thanks

·3 years agoGo to your My eBay: Purchase History. Under "More actions:" select "Return item" then choose "Doesn't match description or photos". Keep going from there to file your case (or whatever they are calling it now) and make note of how long the seller has to respond; if you don't get a prepaid return label or a full refund by then go back and you should find a link to "Ask eBay to step in" and should get a refund in a few days. At least in the past your timeframe to "Ask eBay to step in" was from 3 to 21 days after you file the case, may be different now so keep an eye out for deadlines in the flow of filing the case.

·3 years agoYou dont need to contact Ebay, the return system is automated. Go to your transaction and use the drop down menu and choose item not as described. The seller would be responsible to send you a return label. but since this is a foreign sale he cannot do that. So he would send you the funds thru PP to return the item. If he does not, on the fourth day ask Ebay to step in and you will be refunded, without having to return the item.
