Since no one has asked you, have you reached out to the seller to let them know it was a mistake? If you just purchased the item and it was not shipped yet, reach out to them and submit a cancellation request. If they shipped it out already, it may behoove you to contact them to explain the mistake and offer to cover the shipping for your mistake.
I would use @albertabrightalberta advice of opening up a return request after I reached out to the seller.

If the seller does allow returns, just open a return request after you receive it. Choose "changed mind" as the reason. If the seller's return policy has buyer paying return shipping, you pay for the label.

It is hard to know what exactly the Op is suggesting without more information.
However, they could have purchased the item thinking it was the latest version/model and realized after they made the purchase it was not compatible/correct. Happens all of the time with tech items.
Maybe someone should start a post with the list of reasons/excuses made on mistake purchases. I have heard some hum dingers in the past and reminds me of those who claim the dog ate their homework. (Or waffle) Hopefully the Op can come back and fill us in with the details.
