Problem with wrong pymt entered cannot contact seller or find way to reach ebay agent to fix it
I got new credit card cause old one was expiring in a month. I activated new card and that deactivated my old card which had nit yet expired. A day later, I purchased an item on Ebay and when checking out, I clicked on logo of my credit card to pay for it. It went through and was accepted. Just after paying, I realized that the info on the card I had used was the old info and thought it might cause problem when it got processed. So I hit the choice "Cancel this payment" so I could enter new info from new card. It would not let me re-do the payment and now I am informed that I have to wait for the seller to decide whether or not to cancel the payment.
I still want to buy the item. I seem to be blocked from sending the seller an email to straighten this out and tell her I still want the item. The credit cards are from the same company and they even share the exact same number that gets charged. The only difference between them is in the expiration dates and security codes. I was told by chat asst. that an agent would call me in the next 6 minutes, but never got a call.

·8 months agoIf you want to be reassured, call the number on the back of your credit card and ask if the transaction occurred and was successful.

·8 months agoThe bank will handle it, don't worry about it. Even your card balance will transfer over fine

I think yours is a non-issue. Your payment (same card, company and digits) will go through no worries. Don't cancel.
