PayPal to the rescue!
Recently eBay and a scammer teamed up and defrauded. It was my mistake to think that eBay would protect me. After 25 years as loyal customer I have over 3000 transactions with 100% freedback and 5 stars in every category. Still eBay sided with Zero feedback fake seller, The USPS did a FULL investigation and provided a Letter and documents/Geo-Tracking etc. which explained exactly how the mail fraud was done. eBay actually participated in the fraud scam, providing a FAKE proof of delivery that the USPS stated was Forged. All of the Documents from the USPS were provided to eBay. What did eBay do? They closed the case in favor of the scammer. I never received the Guitar, eBay took my money and in effect called me and the USPS Liars.
I was **bleep**, not only out close to $1000, but that eBay was such a POS. What an ugly mess! Fortunately, PayPal stepped in and closed the case against eBay and the Seller, after they reviewed the USPS Report. Lesson, I learned is that eBay could care less about the truth or a loyal customer and will side with fraud if it makes a profit for them. Never let eBay scam you!

·2 years agoSince "eBay could care less" it means @1765gt that you didn't exhaust all of the care still available on eBay?
But your right (my left) that PayPal and your card issuer will sever the non-sense when you go there to get your refund, and your scammer-seller takes the brunt.

You can avoid many false tracking issues by choosing to only do business with experienced sellers that have a proven track record of delivering similar items as seen by examining the seller's feedback page, and by avoiding inexperienced sellers, sellers with patterns of negative feedback indicating serious problems, or sellers with large gaps in the selling history or recent drastic changes of seller behavior.
