Payment for item won at auction
I won (I think) an item last night and want to pay, but seller provided nothing about paying for the item. They just said if I take no action in 7 days, my credit card will automatically be charged. Not liking how this sounds. Any thoughts? Dont have seller's name and also dont know how to contact ebay by phone. The item was quite expensive!!

There is almost never a reason to contact eBay, which is a good thing because that sometimes confuses the situation even further.

·10 months agoThere really shouldn't be any mystery here - if you won the item, it should be front and center on your summary page, as well as ebay sending you an email notification. If it's there, hit the blue 'pay now' button.

·10 months agoIf you don't plan to buy anything else from that seller, you can just pay now (as others have advised).
I believe the additional 7 days is to allow time for a combined purchase in case you want to purchase additional items from the same seller.

Seller's ID is the only thing that you need to know.
If you buy from me you see my eBay selling ID. You have no need to know my name.

·10 months agoSeller doesn't have to provide anything like an invoice you just click on the transaction and there should be a button where it says "Pay Now." Just pay now and provide any information like your credit card number.

Were you required to enter payment information before you placed your bid? [Many sellers require that due to a high number of nonpaying bidders.]
Would you mind providing the Item Number of the listing so that we can see if anything looks unusual?
