paid but seller hasnt shipped nor responded to any messages
Hi, So I bought an item a little under a month ago and nothing has happened since. No notice of shipping, or a response to my messages yet they’ve denied my cancellation request I’ve made. I usually give sellers lee way because I know people have lives and can’t always ship right away, but it’s been almost a month. The estimated arrival date is also in 9 days ( it still says they havent shipped it ) but they’re selling from Japan and I can’t imagine that It can arrive in 9 days, since I had another seller ( a very good responsive one ) who was selling from South Korea and came in 2 weeks.

·3 years agoOne thing you have to understand no matter where someone is from, its all about a sellers ethics. So if you have a good experience or bad, its up to how the seller decides to run his business. As a customer and a person running a business, there should be some communication going back and forth from the point of sale to the delivery and if there's an issue with the item.
Time doesnt run any different from point of the world to another. The key word is communication going back and forth.
(1) Send an email on Ebay and via no other source, that there is a record.
(2) Wait for the seller to send you an invoice or some sort of confirmation that they got your order (Buy It Now proceed to Step #3)
(3) wait about 2 business days 3 days max, to wait for the seller to send you a shipment confirmation.
(4) give the seller a max of 48 hours to respond (due to international sellers)
(5) if they dont respond, send another email and wait only 24 hours
(6) if they still dont respond after the 3 days (weekends and holidays dont count), get eBay involved.
(7) once ebay is involved, let the seller prove or disprove the item was shipped with tracking.
(8) just do what ebay says or recommends.
These are just suggestions.

·3 years agoDon't compare sellers. You do not know how each one shipped. You can NOT cancel when you buy. It's only allowed the 1st hour and ONLY if the seller agrees. The latest arrival date is in 9 days you stated. You knew the estimated arrival date when you bought. So now , you have to wait. Sellers are NOT required to post the tracking #. It's possible that the seller is not fluent in English. What you do is wait 24 hours after the estimated arrival date and open an item NOT received case. For now, sit tight.
Did you look in MY Ebay under purchases to see if there is a tracking # there. Perhaps the seller added it late. Look and if there is a tracking # click it and see what it says.
When you buy on ebay, look at the seller's feedback, location and the estimated arrival date. If you can't wait, do not buy. If you need it for a gift, most likely that is the item that will arrive late. I have been here since 1998 with 2 other IDs and believe me, those are the ones that something will happen to them.

OP3 years agoYes i did check for a tracking # and there is none. I understand that sellers don’t have to provide tracking, but i’ve bought things before with no tracking and it still tells me when they shipped it.

·3 years agoThat's only if the seller marks it as shipped, which they are not required to do.
I've bought a few things from China years ago, that I didn't get any tracking until the items reached the US.

·3 years agoThe next best thing you can do is to wait at least 10 days ("arrive in 9 days") and if your item still isn't to you... open an Item Not Received claim. Good luck.
