Packages marked “Delivered – Individual Picked Up at Post Office” but never received by freight forwarder warehouse (Portland OR 97230)
Summary: juntunfen-0 shared an issue where two packages were marked as 'picked up at the post office' in Portland, yet were not received by their freight forwarder, Buyandship. Despite confirming the situation with their warehouse and filing missing mail requests, one seller claimed no responsibility while the other offered to contact USPS. juntunfen-0 expressed frustration with eBay's limited help due to the 'delivered' status. Other participants suggested possible issues with the freight forwarder or local post office, advising them to communicate directly with postal authorities and consider avoiding that freight forwarder in the future.
Hi everyone,
I want to share a recent issue I’ve been dealing with.
I had two different packages from two different sellers, both shipped via USPS to my freight forwarder warehouse in Portland, Oregon (ZIP 97230). Both packages ended up with the exact same tracking status:
“Delivered, Individual Picked Up at Post Office”
Location: Portland, OR 97230
First package: July 22, 2026
Second package: August 8, 2026
My warehouse (Buyandship) has confirmed multiple times that:
They do not pick up packages from the post office
Packages are supposed to be delivered directly to their facility
They never received either of these packages
So the packages were not actually delivered to the address I provided. Someone else collected them at the post office.
What happened when I contacted the sellers:
One seller said the tracking showed “delivered,” so they had no responsibility and told me to contact USPS myself.
The other seller first told me to go pick it up at the post office (even though it was already marked as picked up), then later said they would contact USPS.
Current situation:
I have already filed Missing Mail Search requests and reported it to USPIS (Mail Theft). I’m also opening Item Not Received cases on eBay, but I’m not very hopeful since the tracking shows “Delivered.”
Has anyone else experienced this, especially with packages going to freight forwarders in the Portland 97230 area?
Did you manage to get a refund from the seller or through eBay?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks for reading.

One of the packages that showed “Delivered, Individual Picked Up at Post Office” on Saturday, August 8 (when the warehouse is closed) only actually arrived at the warehouse on August 10.
This confirms that the “Picked Up at Post Office” status does not mean the warehouse received the package.
However, my package from July 22 (value $9.99) was marked as signed for / picked up at the post office, and it is still missing after more than 20 days.
My warehouse also confirmed that they have no authority to request delivery/signature records from USPS. Only the original sender (the eBay seller) can make that request — the logistics company will not accept requests from a third-party freight forwarder.

·Aug 10, 2026 at 2:53 AMI think your freight forwarder is blowing smoke at you and someone in their office is stealing packages. There could be an issue with someone at the local post office. Mail carriers have been known to steal packages. If these are your first dealings with this freight forwarder, my money is on them.
I realize it would be easier for you if the seller could contact the local post office that is responsible for delivery to the freight forwarder, but sellers are not obligated to go through all of that. You still can contact them. As your freight forwarder the location of the post office that delivers their mail. Then look up that location and give them a call. The post office has security cameras up, and if you talk to the postmaster they can look on the camera to see if someone actually picked up the package. You might ask to speak to the post master.
I still say the freight forwarder is the issue and I would not use them again.

·Aug 10, 2026 at 1:56 AMCall the PO and tell them about the problem and your freight forwarders claim.
They might offer some insight, or find out they have an internal problem to deal with.

·Aug 10, 2026 at 1:34 AMSellers have no control over where an item is delivered. The BUYER (YOU) is in control of that.
It seems your freight forwarder has someone picking up the items but who knows what they do with them after that .
You need to hold your freight forwarder accountable.

OPAug 10, 2026 at 1:31 AMBut the packages never arrived at the designated freight forwarder warehouse.
They were picked up by someone else at the post office instead of being delivered to the address.
That’s the main problem — the tracking shows “Picked Up at Post Office,” but it was not delivered to the warehouse at all.

·Aug 10, 2026 at 2:50 AM@juntunfen-0 It doesn't matter. Once there is a delivery scan and/or the item was picked up, the seller is no longer responsible.

·Aug 10, 2026 at 3:15 AMI had a similar problem using my po box. Package showed it had been delivered but was not in my mailbox. I figured it was accidentally put into someone else's mailbox...and to this date has not shown up.
