Package show delivered but post office says not to my address
I am completely bewildered. I put 3 orders in my cart, all going to same address, the address was showing correctly on the order. I have not changed any addresses. Two of the orders arrived correctly. The third showed delivered to my city but I checked the package box, nothing, I checked the mail box nothing, I checked the front door, nothing, I checked the back door, nothing. We have substitute mail persons sometimes, so I thought someone has it in their car and they will deliver it the next day, which sometimes happens. The next day nothing, the day after nothing.
I contact the post office and they say the package was delivered but “not to my address†and they have not told me where the package was delivered to. 9400109206094652838464
Tracking just shows city state, not the address.
The seller must have gotten the address wrong but how can that happen, don’t most just print the label? So somewhere in my city is my package, I assume.
This is what the seller says, but not sure if I believe anything they say. If I don’t get a response, I plan to file a fraud complaint. Boy what a pain. It’s important to get the address right, right city and state are only partially correct, the whole address has to be correct. You can’t expect customers to track down their package, just because you got it to the right city. Even if its at your next door neighbors house, that is the wrong address.

·1 year agoI had tha same issue with an ebay seller for a gaming monitor, took him a week to ship and sent me a fake tracking number, showed delivered to front door but did not find anything, when a checked the tracking online all it showed was the zip and city but not the street and street number, Called the postal service gave them the tracking and told me that my address didn't match what the on the item that was shipped, the lady in the phone said she couldn't give me the address where it was shipped but that it definately wasn't delivered to my address. Ebay sided with the scammer and closed my case, the only thing left to do is to call the postal service and ask them for a written statement that the tracking number provided wasn't shipped to my address and appeal to my case to ebay.

·1 year agoThe lady lied to you ! Yes they can give the internal tracking details and photo shot of package and label . go into the P.O. and ask for the supervisor also ask for Comsumer service number not the 1 800 number .

·1 year agoSeller has an eBay ID in Israel and is selling items only in the USA...might be drop shipping from a store where you live which might account for the same city and state.
Sounds like where item(s) came from the store got it wrong. Just an idea.
It's a problem with tracking if it was on all 3 items...it sounds a delivery no matter 2 or 3 were in the box.
And a return...you might get an address to return it to Israel as not as described.

·1 year agoI bought from one of these Israel drop shipping sellers this month .Their worker is in Northen Ca. and I'm in southern Ca. They upload tracking number to another buyer in My neck of woods . I filed a INR and won thanks to the USPS giving me the internal track scan document and photo shot of the Package with shipping label . My seller has some interesting soft positives. I did file report and left a Negative with facts but was removed over the tracking showed delivered even though it was another buyer . from what I was told by escalations supervisor rep. , the feedback would not have been removed had a more experienced Rep taken the call and reviewed case and documents and message's between me and the seller . side note my seller sent me a replacement amazon order which surprised me .But explained the number of soft positives from other buyers that had same problems .

OP1 year agoIt’s interesting how much fraud is actually occurring on eBay. I never had a problem until now. I have had 100’s of transactions. I have to look more closely for pranksters and fraudsters with foreign address. I will have to wait on the fraud case to finish now with the post office and see what kind of charges Lou is pursuing. eBay could flag accounts as foreign address. eBay may become unstoppable with foreign conflicts and fraud escalating exponentially.

Because the scam has become common, and hard for ebay to deal with. I suggest signing up for the Free enhanced tracking services listed below.
USPS - Informed Delivery, FedEx - Delivery Manager, UPS - My Choice
Those services provide information that can be used to win an appeal or for you to provide to ebay's social media reps who have the power to issue refunds. There are links to those sites in the next reply in the topic.

·1 year agoUnlike the old days you can request the print out from USPS the internal tracking scan information and Photo shot of the package .I do agree Ebay has issues deal with if USPS is used .where as UPS and FedEx should be no problem with their tracking details eBay to catch them..

To contest this, you may need a written note/document to verify this. You do not need the exact street address where it was delivered, but USPS of late has been rather helpful on occasions with that as well.
Do not accept a replacement. You won't get that either.
Please read some of these (Your fellow victims from this month so far) on what you need to do to proceed via contacting eBay CS via social media portal and WHAT NOT TO DO, should you have to seek redress someplace else.

Get the idea of "Item not received" out of your head. It will not work for you for this situation. It just lets everyone off the hook for fraud except for you.

·1 year agoIf tracking shows delivery, but nothing arrives, contact the shipping service to determine if the tracking corresponds to a delivery to your address.
If you can obtain hard copy documentation of that the tracking does not correspond to a delivery to your address, contact eBay via social media and explain that you have a case of "false tracking" and you should be given the opportunity to provide your documentation to eBay via direct message. This is different than the usual "item not received" case which is handled automatically and which allows the seller to win by providing tracking that shows delivery.
You can avoid many issues entirely by choosing to only do business with experienced sellers that have a proven track record of delivering similar items as seen by examining the seller's feedback page, and by avoiding inexperienced sellers, sellers with patterns of negative feedback indicating serious problems, or sellers with large gaps in the selling history or recent drastic changes of seller behavior.

OP1 year agoMy seller is from Israel and deliberately sent the package to the wrong address to satisfy their addiction to control.
Seller: immediately after order, If there is a problem do not contact eBay.
Buyer: response: I always let eBay handle any problems, they are experts.
They deliberately sent the package to the wrong address because of my comment.

·1 year agoThe seller OP bought from is Drop shipper in Israel but has listing's on ebay.com U.S. and Wearhouse worker or workers filling the order's .No different then the Chinese drop shipper sellers .

·1 year agoSounds like the fake tracking scam. I wouldnt trust that seller to replace it. You need a statement from USPS that the pkg was not delivered to your address for an appeal. The USPS will not tell you where it was delivered. Good luck.
