Overcharged shipping on auction $190 aus dollars
I had been looking for this item for ten years and I’m in the USA. I found it finally on eBay in Australia for auction but they had it set to only within Australia so I asked if I could bid. She said yes but only if I agree to pay the extra shipping costs. I said ok and asked her to ship it priority with tracking as it’s a rare item. I won the auction and no one else bid.. she added $210 Australian dollars for shipping. The item was around $350 aus. She had a buy it now for $600 aus so I think she was trying to compensate for the lower auction amount. I thought maybe she would send it super expedited. No. She put it in a little padded envelope and mailed it STANDARD. 1.87 ounces was the weight. It too extra long because it wasn’t expedited nor did it have any insurance added. I received it and the shipping cost was right on the front… $19.95 aus dollars. What do I do? Because I feel there’s gotta be something wrong here.

·3 years agoA.P won't do anything, but it is a bluff that may work as it is a new seller who id not get what they wanted for the item and decided to accept your offer by increasing the shipping.
As per eBay rules shipping does not form part of an offer, so they should not have tried to compensate that way.
I have answered your PM, sorry for the delay
