On line order assistance
I am a loyal customer of ebay and has successfully completed many purchases. In November, I ordered a security camera system and through the entire process had no concerns with the transaction. Upon receiving the item, I had an individual that had advance knowledge set the system up. During this process, it was determined that the receiver did not operate correctly. The seller was contacted to express my concern about the product he sold. Through several back-and-forth email messages, he made it clear that once I paid for the item, he didn't want to discuss anything else about my issue. The company, (ebay) was contacted and as of this time, there has been no assistance from them. Now I am having concern about ordering from ebay as they have no process for complaints and I think individual buyers should ask themselves, what will happened if I had an issue. Me and my family have stopped ordering from ebay at this time.

·1 year agoPer eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, you had 30 days from receipt to open an item not as described case with eBay. The seller then would have had 3 days to send you a prepaid return label or to refund you in total and tell you to keep the defective item. That ship has sailed.
Most credit cards give at least 180 days to open a case to get a refund. You're still within that boundary possibly.
ALL eBayers, both buyers and sellers, need to read the MBG, preferably before they begin to buy or sell here.
If buyers are asking themselves what will happen if they have an issue, they need to be told to read the MBG.
BTW, you did not order from eBay, you ordered from one of the millions of sellers who list items for sale on eBay.

Ebay actually has a very good system for complaints. It's called the Money Back Guarantee and the process is both fully automated and linked in every listing. Unfortunately you only have 30 days from receipt of an item to open an item not as described case, and it sounds like you're beyond that. At this point your only recourse is a dispute through your credit card.
If you'd like to acquaint yourself with the Money Back Guarantee you can read about it here:

·1 year agoIf the item is not as described in the listing go to your Purchase History and request to return item for not as described. You should get a refund when item is returned. You have limited time to do this (30 Days).
