offended buyer
I am pushing here because I could not get a refund of the money spent on the purchase and payment for the shipment. The fact is that I chose a monitor on the EBAY site and paid including shipping. After payment, the seller contacted me and said that delivery to my country (Belarus) is more expensive and I have to refuse the purchase and the seller will return the money to me. However, I persuaded him that I would pay the shipping cost myself. He agreed. After paying £60. The seller took a photo of the parcel with pasted track sheets of the postal company, which I previously sent to him when I paid for the parcel. The parcel arrived in the Republic of Belarus and was detained by customs due to the fact that the parcel that came to my address contained distorted recipient data and, most importantly, there was a muffler from the car inside the parcel and the monitor was not there. I took a photo in front of me, they opened it, in addition to the muffler, there was some garbage and magazines in the package. As a result, I had to refuse this package and it will be returned to the sender. I contacted EBAY with a request to return the money at least for the monitor. However, the company, having considered my complaint, refused to refund my funds. I didn't expect such a decision. Moreover, my previous purchase was also not successful. The seller also turned out to be unscrupulous, promised me that he would send the goods for several weeks, reported on strikes by postal workers, and then said that he was bankrupt and EBAY blocked him. After that I got my money back. This time I was so unlucky that I forfeited the money paid through the EBAY site so another 60 pounds for postage. I am completely disappointed with our UBAY administration and the sellers on this site. Based on my experience of two buyers, it's just awful a hundred sellers and site administration do this. My feelings of resentment from communication left an indelible residue. I will never contact this site again, a complete disgrace. If someone is interested in the details, I can provide a photo and correspondence with the seller and EBAY. I wish you all the best and don't get into situations like me!

Before trying to buy the monitor, you should have clicked on the Shipping Returns & Payment tab, on the listing page, to see if the seller provided shipping to Belarus. If they do not you can ask for them to add a shipping method and cost for your country. However, many sellers do not ship to your region. You also should not have paid for the shipping outside of ebay, since that was not a part of the original transaction, and even if the transaction was still covered by the Money Back Guarantee, the extra you paid for shipping would not be refunded to you, because of that.
As @fab_finds4u , wrote, you lost your eBay purchase protections, by refusing the package.
What you should have done was to use the More actions button, in your purchase history, and selected Return the item. Then chosen either received wrong item, or Doesn't match description or photos, as the reason for the return.
Since Belarus, does not have its own ebay site, you probably registered on one of the European sites, possibly the U.K. one, since both of your purchases were from U.K. sellers. You should login to the site you registered with and re-post this topic on its community boards. This is the U.S. based site (ebay.com) and the return policies for the European site's may be slightly different from ours.
You should never leave a feedback for a seller until you receive your item. No matter how nice they seem at first.

OP3 years agoOn the tab was delivery to my region. Moreover, I paid for it because it was included in the price. The seller deliberately distorted my data (changed the documents that I sent him after paying for the postage). I compared my documents and those that were pasted on the parcel in them there are obvious traces of correction. The text goes beyond the bounds of the allotted window in the sheet. The seller deceived me by putting a muffler in the package.

Had you accepted the package you could have filed an item not as described dispute. Your seller would have had to pay for the return shipping or reimburse you for it. If they did not do anything fter 3 days, you could have asked ebay to step in and they would have refunded you without you having to return the item. By refusing the package, you lost your ebay money back guarantee (MBG) buyer protections. You may also have lost protections from your credit card or payment system provider as well.
