I have some feedbacks with only 3 or 4 characters and I am not sure they are even a word.

·4 months agoThere's no minimum number of words needed in order to leave feedback.
In fact, I've seen feedbacks that are just a plus sign.

I think you may be sick of something that doesn't actually exist. There are NO minimum words required to leave feedback the last time I tried. [There ARE a minimum of 12 characters needed to post a reply in the Community, however.]

I guess I could try to get it shorter. You know, 8 spaces instead of 10

·4 months agoI've often encountered an ebay notification telling me to add more words in FB, "tell us more", but that's hardly mandatory... As some here have already noted, you can leave up to 500 characters. Nothing like creating problems where there are none.

The number of words/characters is not mandatory. Are you referring to the 500 characters counting down below the text field? That just shows you how many more are available, not how many more are required.

What minimum number of words? You can leave a one word feedback if you like "Good". All ebay has done regarding feed back comments is increase the number of characters members have available to use when writing comments from 80 to 500.

·4 months agoAssuming that you know that, in the case of leaving FB for a seller, eBay, unless otherwise evident, will leave auto FB for your seller.
In the case of FB for a buyer, you are free to leave none at all. It is not mandatory.
Or work out a rather generic positive and set your listings to leave that for your buyer.

and hope they are not "harassing" my buyers like that.
Guess that's why my feedbacks have been longer...

·4 months agoYes, you ARE getting more awesome (and we didn't think that could be possible)!
However, if we are referring to FB left for sellers, eBay has resolved the issue for a lot of us. They wait about ten days, and, if there's no apparent issue and no FB has been left for the seller, eBay issues an auto positive FB.
If we are referring to FB left for buyers, just figure out a generic positive sentence that's long enough and set your transactions to leave that for your buyers.
Unless I am missing something, don't see it as a large issue. But someone will undoubtedly come along and disagree with that.

I would rather see the percentage of products returned than the subjective opinion of some random Karen.
