Not all iPhones on eBay are genuine Apple phones
Bought an iPhone XS from this seller back in 2024: https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/oz_wonderland
The phone was working fine, until the ear piece speaker was getting faint around January 2026. Took it into a repair shop and they confirmed that almost all parts inside the iPhone were third party parts and not genuine Apple parts. Speaker was fixed, and the battery eventually got replaced as well with another third party battery, and it's working ok now.

·8 months agoYou bought an iPhone from Malaysia. I'm not in the slightest bit surprised and neither should you be.

·8 months agoLet’s make it clear, you didn’t buy an I phone but a copy…you want a real phone, buy from Apple store or authorized retailer…

·8 months agoThere is no CARFAX for iPhones. When you buy a used iPhone you do not know whether it has been repaired or not. You do not know the source of the parts used to repair the phone or anything about what is inside the package. You often do not know what is outside the package either because many sellers use stock images.
The same issues apply when you buy locally, as well.

·8 months agoMany companies sell products over seas for less money than in the US. Some are the same and others are of lower quality. Merchandise not intended to be sold here is often called " grey market ". Companies often won't support it or honor warranties on it.
