Not able to create report for purchased item because seller has been suspended
When I go the purchase order and try to set up a ticket request under "Haven't received this item yet" -- I get this msg:
This item isn't covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee
..You can try working things out by contacting the seller.
But seller has been suspended (likely scam account) and doesn't exist anymore. Can I get in contact with someone that can help me? Need to clarify if I have to wait more days or if I should be opening a dispute with my credit card company.

·3 years agoDid you use paypal? Open an item NOT received case there. Follow the prompts. Ebay should automatically force an immediate refund whenever they suspend the seller but they don't because sometimes, they do mail the item. You can also try calling ebay. Do you know the seller's name? There should be a record of the payment since you through the ebay system.
You can also contact ebay via FACEBOOK and perhaps they will respond quicker. The good thing about them is that they are fluent in English and do respond quickly. Goodluck

OP3 years agoPurchased thru credit card. Already created a dispute claim there. I have never lost a dispute banking with Chase so will likely be fine. What is Ebay's contact info? I have seller name and order #. Seller is unreachable tho and account was terminated.

·3 years agoNow that you've opened a credit card dispute it's pointless to keep trying to contact eBay. Once a case is opened elsewhere your coverage under eBay's Money Back Guarantee ends, to prevent any possible double dipping.

·3 years agoThere are scammers that sell on here (in my case, a freezer) for 1/3 what it should cost (yes dumb me should have known better) anyway, after 2 weeks with the freezer overdue this schmegma encrusted low life FINALLY issues a tracking number...HOWEVER it was not for a freezer but a 5x6 manila envelope and wasnt even addressed to come here but he gave that tracking number like it was....naturally when it was delivered (same town different address) ebay says item was delivered! They didnt care that it didnt come here they never even checked just used the bogus tracking number the scammer gave me. Well I went round and round with them they FINALLY gave me a "courtesy" refund...CAN YOU BELIEVE THE NERVE? Of course by that time 20 other people got scammed on the same freezer but they never called or anything. That friends is just how business is done here now days. The almighty buck comes first no more buying things that "will be 1-2 weeks before delivery" I want a VALID tracking number within 24 hours or I cancel the sale

·3 years agoToo bad, if you got ripped off for almost $400 you'd be quite angry too. I'll post as many times as I please until ebay addresses the situation. The scammers are still ripping buyers off and ebay is laughing all the way to the bank. I want everyone to know ebay is allowing and committing fraud.

·3 years agoHow on earth is posting time after time after time after time on a member-to-member forum going to get eBay to address the situation? I personally have no issues with them not accepting the return of a used sex doll. 😱😲

You will typically get the "isn't covered" message if you purchased a PRODUCT that was intentionally posted in an incorrect category. Many categories on eBay will not have Money Back Guarantee Protection. These are usually business related. Some examples might be businesses for sale, websites for sale, warranties and insurance, travel, etc.
If I, as a criminal that has no product, lists a "state of the art newest version of a laptop" in websites for sale, or choose two categories laptops, and warranties/insurance, it will void the Money Back Guarantee for YOU who purchase it at a bargain price. If you use a mobile app, you will not see that second category anyway.
Subsequently, when you need to file a claim, the eBay bots will throw you under the bus, and the regular foreign outsourced call center reps will do the same with the "the item is isn't covered..." nonsense. According to recent reports from buyer victims, even PayPal will refuse under the same mantra of 'not being covered'.
I am basing this on the premise that since your "seller is already gone", and eBay has likely "poofed" the listing as well. Without knowing what you purchased, it is hard to confirm. Is there any information left for you that shows the transaction on eBay? Perhaps even in an email?
