NON EXIXTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
CRICKETS is what I get from ebay customer service. ABSOLUTE CRICKETS.. chirp chirp
I purchased an item on 8/19/25 and was very pleased to receive fast shipment of my item.
UNFORTUNATELY, the FedEx tracking number provided by ebay was for a different item and shipped to a different party. That item was properly signed for by the intended recipient on 8/22/25.
To date, 9-5-25, eBay refuses to refund my purchase price of $207.52 because they say that MY product was signed for as received (which it was) by a completely different person and for a completely different item!!
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ITEM AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL FROM what they call "CUSTOMER SERVICE", DESPITE NUMEROUS REQUESTS. FedEx has confirmed twice, that the shipping number provided by eBay is completely wrong for my item, seller and customer (me).
MY ITEM IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, AND ebay COULDN'T CARE LESS..
Ebay and the seller are refusing to acknowledge that I have paid for an item that I did not receive, and I can not track it because the shipping/tracking number provided by ebay for my purchase is incorrect.
Quite simply, ebay and the seller have given me a HUGE middle finger and say that my missing item case is closed.
BEWARE OF ebay's NON-EXISTENT customer service.

·11 months agoI had this exact same thing happen to me but did NOT file an INR case. Instead I got the documentation from showing the item was delivered to ******* & not me. Next I messaged the seller and told them I had those documents from the shipper and would be contacting the United States Federal Online Fraud Department ( I made that up) and would be sending the USFOFD all the information along with all their (the seller's) information and also would be making a Theft & Fraud Report to the seller's local police dept. (return address found with the fraudulent shipping tracking #) . Within 12 hours I had a refund from the seller along with a broken English (obviously foreign scam) apology. I knew Ebay wouldn't do anything if it shows the item was signed for & delivered.

·11 months agoGood on you!! I think you could have gotten the same result through eBay, but not guaranteed and it would've taken longer and been more "hairy" than just putting good old fashioned fear into that scammer.

This fake tracking scam scenario has been going on here for over a decade. It is the most successful scam out there for crooked sellers who know the eBay policy and how to appease the bot driven system. eBay knows about it, PayPal knows about it, and the credit card industry is well aware of the issue. eBay protects eBay and after at least 15 years of this, they have no policy or procedure for victims and rely on their DENIAL practices to hope the victim goes away. The same thing is used by scam BUYERS to satisfy eBay a return for refund has been made, when indeed the return was to a gas station or tavern in the seller's Zip Code.
The procedures for redress for victims have come a long way since the beginning, but again no public facing procedure is supplied. Please see the "accepted answer" for the options you have as a victim in the following thread:

Come back if you have any questions, and because the process is ever changing, do let us know how it works out for you.

·11 months agoThe fake tracking shows delivery on 8/22/25 which is great @yaesu723 because you still have time to get your $207.52 refund, even though you lost the item not received case and its appeal.
Now go to your Purchases page or your Order Details page
-- click Return this item
-- select the Missing parts or pieces reason
-- type two BRIEF lines explaining the fake tracking scam
-- upload a photo* of what you should have received, then Submit request.
*Or upload a screenshot from the FedEx website showing that the weight and dimensions of that tracking number are wrong for your item.
Do not talk to eBay or FedEx, and do not respond if the seller contacts you. After 3 business days, go back to click Ask eBay to come and step on this. If you get a prepaid return label, mail it with that screenshot inside a box, to get your refund.

·1 year agoSince it shows delivered you will lose an INR case. Instead you should open a return request for missing parts and pieces. The seller will need to provide you with a return label within 3 business days. If they don't respond, ask ebay to step in on the 4th day.
