No refund after Ebay steped in
..I bought and item of of a eBay seller. I was given a phony tracking number and never received my item. I contacted eBay over the problem and they said refund was coming my way in 3 to 5 days. It is now been 15 days and I still have not gotten the refund. Tried to reopen the case with eBay but apparently it is not allowed. How do I go about getting my refund if the seller is dishonest with me and does not want to send me the refund. eBay doesn't want me to contact them again

·2 years agoYou didn't say where the item was being shipped from. I had an item stuck in a post office that was shipped from a european country for 2 months! The seller tracked it down for me and filed with the post office and I got it about 3 days later.
I now click US only when I search for an item. If they are from a certain country on the other side of the pacific there's no recourse unfortunately. They seem to not have to abide by Ebay rules.

·2 years agoI just had a weird problem with ebay support both on the Live chat over the phone. I'm going to make my thread on my issue. I had ebay call me. After live chat asked me to to logout during the chat session to "verify my account."

How did you contact ebay? If you looked up a phone number online you never spoke to a real ebay customer service rep. You have to scroll to the bottom of an ebay page and click on the contact us button, fill in some info and wait for a call back.
If you did use the contact us option, where did you look for the refund? Refunds of payments made by through PayPal, do not go back to your PayPal account. Those and payments made by debit card or from a bank account into go back to the bank account. If your payment method was by a credit card, the refund may have been processed, but may not appear on a statement for up to 30 days. You can call the number on the back of the card and ask if a refund is pending.

Did you file an item not received (INR) dispute? If you did, it was closed in the seller's favor, because ebay's first step is automated. A computer checks the tracking number you received for a Delivered scan. If it sees one it denies the claim. When you file a dispute it appears above your purchase history on the My ebay page.
If the dispute goes in favor of the seller, as written above, a message will be in the dispute telling you that, and there will be an Appeal button in the message. If you find that you had the claim denied. Reply to this topic telling us that has happened and the shipping company the seller used, and if the zip code of the Delivered scan is yours or not.
