No contact from seller after purchase
So I bought an item from a seller 4 days ago and he did not responded to any contacts I tried to make with him. I requested a tracking number from the seller with no response. He appears to be new to ebay and I noticed after I purchased he only has 1 feedback and it was bad. Will ebay cover my purchase if I don't receive the item it was expensive for me. I don't know what to do since he is not responding. The dates given for receipt 4-7 days since we live in the same state I should have received the item by now. The order is just showing where I paid for it but no progress past that.
Anybody have any ideas?

The answer as to why the seller isn't answering questions is because they are new. Most new sellers do not know that ebay places a hold on their first few payments for from 21-30 days. What they are seeing on their account right now, is that your payment status shows Pending. Because of that they may think your messages are an attempt to scam them somehow. I'll bet the negative they have received mentioned not shipping and no contact.
If you want the item, try messaging them again. Tell them if they haven't shipped because of the Pending status to do a Google search for " Payments on hold, eBay " If they do that they will get the information they need to ship your item and get the funds released.
If the seller does see your message and ships within a day or so. Cut them a break and give them positive feedback if things are good otherwise.

do not try to "cancel" the order......just wait until Monday, and if you do not receive it, follow the instructions...
Also, do NOT (at this point in time) contact your bank/source of payment for assistance. That will void your MBG with ebay.

·1 year agoNew sellers don't always know the rules. Wait one day past the last given delivery date. If it's not arrived file an item not received case. Sellers are not required to supply or even use tracking. All you can do is watch the date and click the I did not receive it button.

Generally speaking, yes. However, if there is a "delivered" scan associated with your order and you got NOTHING, you will lose any eBay claim for "item not received". Come back here for directions on what to do and what NOT to do to recover your payment should that occur.
