No a serious or trustworthy seller
Hello everyone,
I’d like to share my experience so other eBay buyers can be aware. I purchased a car part from a seller who advertises the item with a “lifetime warranty.â€
I trusted that warranty and decided to buy it, but the part only lasted 6 months. Since then, the seller has not responded to any of my messages, eBay can’t step in as an intermediary, and I ended up losing almost $200.
To make things worse, I’m not even able to leave feedback for the seller, which makes it hard to warn others.
So I’m posting this here so everyone knows: don’t go through the same bad experience I did.

So apparently the lifetime of the item was six months. LOL, not meaning to be flippant – maybe a little – but I always wonder what lifetime a guarantee like that refers to. The buyer's lifetime? Average human life in the US is 78 years . . . unreasonable to expect that.

Oh sh... sugar, I guess I only have a few years left on my warranty. I wonder what happens, if I outlive it? Do they have those extended warranties like the ones that can be bought for cars? I wonder what they would cover, fuel pump, electrical system, onboard computer...?

·9 months agoOr the lifetime of the company that originally made and guaranteed the product. If the company goes bankrupt or otherwise out of business, those with items from those companies are SOL.

·9 months agoOnce was sufficient, and thank you for making it short, but I did read it again . . . sort of like an insurance run in baseball. Please read mine as many times as you need to recognize that the word lifetime was ambiguous.

OP9 months agoThis is the first time I’ve been screwed by a seller regardless feedback , if you can’t warranty your product “lifetime†why advertise your product as lifetime warranty if you’re not going to honor it ? is it to device consumers and attract buyers only to rip them off ? I bought that pat from that seller ONLY because of that, in fact before I purchase the product I contacted the seller to verify the warranty , i could’ve purchased something cheaper or from a 100 positive feedback seller . I learned the lesson, so I got my new part from another on line store

Most of the warranties on items from China sellers is pretty much worthless.

You aren't allowed to name and shame.
Ebay's MBG (money back guarantee) is for 30 days from delivery.
If you have a problem with an item after the 30 days have passed, you need to take that up with the manufacturer.

·9 months agoSo now you know - there is no such thing as a 31 day warranty, much less a lifetime warranty, on anything sold on ebay. With ebay, 30 days is the absolute max. You may get a little more depending on how you paid. Some credit cards cover you for a longer time.
No need to get mad at @albertabrightalberta just because she gave you correct advice. And no, you cannot name & shame other users on this forum.
