New to eBay, question about phone number
So I need a very specific hardware screws that I only can find here as a buying option.Long-story short I ordered them , paid for them and what I noticed is that the website never asked for my phone number.So my concerns are - how I am gonna get my package from a ''delivery company'' if they don't have my phone number ? I have phone number updated in my account information but since I am new here I don't know how things works. I have written my addres when ordering but only that...I really need these screws and I want to know that they will get to me without any worries. Any ideas ?

As long as you have your phone number entered on your ebay profile, it will be made available to the seller as well as applied to any shipping labels that might require a phone number.

·1 year agoI don't know why a delivery company would need a phone number as they are delivering to a physical address. Although I never really pay attention to it, my buyers' phone numbers show on the packing slips that I print and send with each package.

I think FedEx also requires a phone number.

OP1 year agoЕvery delivery company in my country(Bulgaria) requires a phone number so they contact you when they are on your delivery address , otherwise they can't reach you because we don't have the ''american post boxes infront of our houses/apartments'' and people here doesn't leave packages in front of doors due to many reasons.For example when I was in the UK , delivery companies just throw your package infront of your door.Some need to make sure that you took your package so they take a picture of you holding the package.Here in Bulgaria they don't film you but they ask for your signature so they can declare for their company that you recieved the package. The only delivery company I can think of that doesn't require phone number is the ''Bulgarian posts'' which is national company that sends you a notify letter to go get your package,but my delivery address only states my names in English and info that they are not obliged to know ''English'' and to be honest most people that work at these positions doesn't know english.For example if they have my ID number - they easily can search for me and find who I am so they can give me the ''notify lettter'' but nothing like that is written here in this website when filling the delivery address when ordering something.It's just a plain address in English - nothing more specific...
