Negative review unilatteraly removed
Hello all,
I recently purchased an item on Ebay and was shipped a different item than what was advertised. I started a return and was offered a refund by the seller for 47% of the purchase price and told I could keep the item. I declined and requested a full refund. I never heard back from the seller and Ebay stepped in. I got a strange email from them saying the seller had agreed to refund me but that it appears that the refund was not done, so Ebay would be refunding me. They processed the refund and then I received an email asking me to write a review.
I don't normally write reviews but decided in this case to do so due to the non-responsiveness of the seller. I rely on reviews when making purchases so I thought I should provide the same feedback that I depend on when making my purchase decisions. I wrote a factual review, stating that I received the wrong item and the seller was non responsive and that Ebay has to step in.
A few days later, I received a communication from the seller saying "Hey POS. Got the negative removed!" I have searched and there is no trace of the review anywhere. I can't even find it in my account. This is wrong. What good are the reviews if the seller can unilaterally have them removed, with no feedback on my part. And then to send such a nasty message!
What can I do to bring this to Ebay's attention? I cannot find a way to contact Ebay further on this matter.

·1 year agoSounds like your FB violated policy by mentioning case results so nothing to be done about that.
You can however report the sellers message using the 3 dot button at the top right of the message.

·1 year agoThe most important thing is that eBay stepped in & you were refunded your payment.
