Need Assistance: Seller Provided false Tracking Information that cannot be verified
Hi eBay Community,
I’m reaching out for advice and assistance regarding a recent issue with my purchase. My case was closed with the reason that the seller provided tracking information confirming the item was delivered to my address. However, this is incorrect.
The item has not been delivered, and eBay's own tracking system shows that it they have no tracking information of the item. According to the tracking details, the package hasn’t even left the seller's country of origin, and there’s no record of it arriving at my address or even making it out of the initial location.
I’ve attached a screenshot from eBay’s website when I made my appeal, which shows that the package has not been marked as delivered, contradicting the seller’s claim but Ebay still went through with blocking me from appealing. I’m hoping to get some guidance from the community on how to proceed, as I believe the case should be re-opened and further investigated but Ebay is refusing meanwhile they took my money and gave it to the seller,
Has anyone else experienced something similar, and if so, how did you resolve it? I’d appreciate any advice or steps I could take to get this issue reviewed properly

Your profile shows that you are located in South Africa, which does not have its own ebay site. If you joined ebay from one of its European based site such as the U.K. based one (ebay.co.uk) you should open that site and post your issue on it's community.
Before doing that try running your tracking number through ( parcelsapp.com) which tracks packages sent internationally. If you tried to track the package using the information displayed on this site's (ebay.com) the U.S. based site, tracking, it may not be able to track some packages that are sent using foreign shipping services not recognized here in the U.S..

·1 year agoGood luck trying to get Ebay to stand behind their delivery guarantee policy. I made a purchase that was delivered to the wrong address. Seller acknowledged but refused to refund. Ebay refused my claim and closed my case. Buyer kept my money and I received nothing. In addition, when I tried to leave honest feedback for seller, it never appeared, interestingly. Bottom line, Ebay does not protect consumers. and this promotes unethical selling practices. I will not use Ebay again.
