Need advice, item not received

Seller sent me a meesage that the item coming weeks late and if i wanted to cancel. Item was said to be delivered later that day on ebay site. The item never came and the post office said they used a diffrenet address for my item. I message the seller to cancel my package. I then reported the item has not arrived. The seller then messages me to cancel my report so i can get a refund. What is best course of action. I believe im getting scamed. I place the report on aug 11.

If you do NOT receive your refund after asking eBay to step in ... which you'll be able to do from your open return request on the 4th business day after opening the request ... THEN phone your credit card company and request a chargeback from them.

If you opened a claim 'item not received'...there is nothing to do except wait for eBay to get back to you to escalate the claim and get a refund. I suggest not emailing the seller any more.
