Mystery listings - has the policy changed?
Has something changed with the types of "mystery/chance" listings that are allowed?
I was shopping for Coach bags and found a mystery listing for 3 vintage "Coach" bags. There's one picture with at least half of the image scribbled over with red. From what I can see, they appear to be among highly faked styles.
There's no description, no style numbers, no information to verify authenticity and a question to the seller was answered with "Then it wouldn’t be a mystery."
Per the policy:
- Grab bags or mystery boxes may be listed under the following conditions:
- The listing contains general information about what is included
So how "general" is the information allowed to be?
Interestingly, the seller has other Coach listings with adequate pictures further adding to my skepticism about the mystery listing.

·1 year agoMystery bags are absolutely allowed, do a search of 'vintage jewelry lot' sometime. 🤣
They take up at least a quarter of the search results, with many sellers doing duplicate listings (also supposedly "not allowed"). Enforcement is just non-existent with some policies, unfortunately.

·1 year agoIt's one of those we will know it when we see it. They don't want you to cross the line into running a lottery of sorts. I will say people seem to really like to buy those packages. Not sure if they complain after opening them?
