My payment being held hostage
I paid for a product, The seller got postage for my product with tracking, then they never sent my product. I messaged the seller twice after the expected delivery day came and went. Now ebay is giving the seller the opportunity which equates to another week to respond. Sure, let's give the seller all the opportunity to keep my money AND the product I was suppose to receive. All in the favor of the seller. I want my money back! They stole my money! That's illegal!

You bought from a brand new ( 0 ) feedback seller, who like most new sellers on ebay do not go deep enough into eBay's getting started information, to know that ebay will pace a 21-30 day hold on the first few payments they receive.
"The seller got postage for my product with tracking, then they never sent my product. I messaged the seller twice after the expected delivery day came and went".
Because of the seller's inexperience with the site, They purchased postage but did not ship the item because on their account your payment status is marked as Pending, so they do not think the funds have cleared. They haven't replied to your messages because they probably think they are an attempt to scam them some how.
If you want the item and not a refund you can try messaging them again and tell them if they have not shipped the item yet because of the Pending status of your payment, to do a Google search for
"Payments on hold, export ebay" If they do that they'll probably ship your item right after reading the info they get. If they do not ship then on the date ebay gave you to ask them to step in, do that and a refund will be initiated.
If the seller does send your item after reading your message, you may want to consider revising your feedback at least to a neutral one. You would have to message them again telling them to send you a feedback revision request, something else they do not know how to do, so you would have to tell them to do a search for "How to send a feedback revision request on ebay?".
FYI. As a not very experienced ebay user, you should know that as long as you buy only, you will have a 100% rating, since buyers cannot receive negative feedback. That means sellers who want to know if you are a reliable payer, will look at the feedback you leave others. If they see you only leave non-positive feedback they may decide not to deal with you, and block you from bidding on, sending offers, or buying their items.

The system is automated.
Sounds like you filed a Item Not Received case. Now you wait until you can ask ebay to step in and refund. Unless of course you receive the item in the meantime.
