My order was delivered to the wrong address or was it a scam?
I bought eyeglass nose pieces from [Removed by moderator] and they didn't come to my house but an address in Dorchester MA. Not the shipping address on my order. Was this a scam? I wasn't logged into my account so it is just a not found order number. Ugh! Any ideas on how to get my order?

Normally, if you bought as a guest your purchase would be covered by ebay's Money Back Guarantee. You may still have some protection if the zip code in Dorchester is not the same as yours. The fake tracking scam has become wide spread because companies not involved in the shipping transaction cannot access full shipping label information.
You can get information about the transaction from the Order Confirmation email you received. If you deleted it, you can retrieve it by following the instructions in the link below.
Just so you know, these boards are populated by buyers and sellers who are regular ebay members. even if you had your order number we could not look it up. You cannot contact an ebay employee through these boards. We can help you in many cases, and this is a good place to get information about using the site.

If you paid for the item with a credit card, once you retrieve your order details from the email your best bet for getting a refund would be to contact your card provider using the phone number on the back of the card. Let them know you may have been the victim of the fake tracking number scam. If you can get an email from the shipping agency, or a letter from the USPS on their stationary You can use that to get a refund from your card provider.
To get a letter from the USPS follow the instructions below. A postal clerk cannot give you the label's address or the package's type/size/weight but they can give you general information.
When you to go to your P.O., You need to bring a copy of your order details page, email which shows your address and the tracking number with you. If you bought using a phone or tablet, you can bring that to show the clerk the order details.
You want to ask the clerk to check the label address against yours on the order details page, and also to check the Package type/size/weight info to see if was is appropriate for what you should have received. If you can look up the Mfr.'s specifications for the item and bring that with you as well.
If the info does not match up, you ask the clerk or Postmaster to write a note on USPS stationary saying in general that the shipping label's address was not the same as the one on your ebay Order Details email, and if applicable that the package type/size/weight was not right for what you should have received. Do not ask them to write specific address or package info, they cannot give it out. Have the clerk or Postmaster print their name then sign and date the note. You can scan it or take a clear photo of it to pass on to your card provider.
