·9 months agoCan’t the estimated delivery date change after placing the order? I won’t say for sure that it happened to me, but I seem to recall that on a recent order. I wasn’t paying that close attention to it.

·9 months agoNo. Just no. The EDD isn't "set in stone", but it might as well be. The potential buyer sees that date before making the purchase. If the date is satisfactory, the buyer buys and pays. If the item doesn't arrive on or before that date, the buyer can open an INR case the following day.
Usually I believe many of us recommend giving the package a little more time to arrive, especially if tracking shows the package to be moving through the system.

·9 months agoYes...and it has for me.
Although the item is sold and has an 'estimated date of arrival...' eBay has and has done it on some of my orders I made purchases from.
eBay has changed the 'estimated date of arrival...' after the item was paid.
Unless a buyer does not write down the date the item purchased and return to the item sold they wouldn't suspect the date got changed.

The dates on tracking are the estimated arrival dates provided by the carrier. They have absolutely nothing to do with the EDDs on the listing. The dates eBay uses for MBG are always the dates shown in your purchase history or the original confirmation email.

·9 months agoI am not talking about the carrier tracking or tracking by eBay.
I am talking about the item listed and sold only...nothing to do with tracking.
The 'Delivery : Estimated between.....94109' the date has changed on some of mine items I have purchased in the past after payment was received and shipped.
Maybe I buy more items than you have or you don't look at the original estimate date after a purchase to see if it had changed.

·9 months agoI'm just going by the two photos in your post. One is of the delivery dates indicated by tracking, one is of the delivery dates in the listing. Two different things, although I'm certain you know that after a purchase the listing isn't the place to find the estimated delivery dates associated with your purchase. The listing will always show the estimated delivery dates if you purchased the item today. The best place to find the EDDs associated with your purchase is the confirmation email and in your purchase history. Those are the dates eBay uses for MBG, and no, they don't change.

·9 months agoBe especially careful before you buy from any seller with private feedback, or sell to them either..

·9 months agoRegardless of who ships, and where it's shipped from, if you don't receive your item by the estimated delivery date seen in the original listing, you have the protection of eBay's Money Back Guarantee. That's why I asked, in my other message, if you had read the MBG.
So, have you?

·9 months agoThat return guarantee is half the problem... the main problem is thinking you will buy teh item, get it in a decent time period but then are forced to wait weeks to get the item....
Opening a dispute is another long waiting process. Overall this is a problme.. ebaY NEEDS
to make it mandatory for alll sellers to place there true location in the auction. NOT in about page...
Buying something and getting it from somewhere other than what you thought and being forced toi wait and wait is DISCOURAging..... Makes people want to LEAVE hear...

·9 months agoNo one forces you to wait weeks to get an item. The estimated delivery dates are clearly shown in every listing. If they're acceptable, you make the purchase. If they're not acceptable, you hit the back button. If you just assume you'll get the item in "a decent time period" in the face of the information eBay gives you, that's on you.
And opening an MBG case isn't "another long waiting process". On the day after the last estimated delivery date (the one you should have originally noted and found acceptable) you open an item not received case. Four business days later you ask eBay to step in and they refund you.
As for your contention that "MOST sellers are liars and scamsters", nothing could be further from the truth. I've been on eBay for 29 years and found that the vast majority of sellers are honest. If in 2 1/2 months you've only found scammers then I would gently suggest you learn to vet your sellers better.

·9 months agoHad a possibly similar experience. Bought from a seller stating they were located in the US. They offered expedited shipping. Seller marked item as shipped almost immediately. Two week later it finally shows up having been shipped from a fullfillment center. Seller was totally unhelpful and kept stating the item was with the "carrier".
So the seller was drop shipping.
Hopefully that is what is happening with you as kensgiftship states the seller is dropshipping. Maybe you will get the item after a few weeks.

·9 months agoI find that MOST sellers aqre liars and scamsters// At least the ones I have dealt with on here. Ebay should make it mandatory fro all selelrs to place there true location in the auction. NOT teh about page.
Im really tired of buying something represented as coming from USA when its actually not and i haev to wake weeks for it.
This here is a major preoblme ebay needs to address asap..

The second half of that sentence tells it all. I have been buying on eBay for years and have only had problems with an order twice that I can remember. Both times I got my money refunded.
I know playing detective by researching sellers is a pain but is time well spent. I agree that a sellers actual location should be upfront but it isn't so one has to adapt.
If it were up to me dropshipping wouldn't be allowed period but it's not up to us, so adapt..................

·8 months agoI see this type of thing happening more and more. Items are "listed" in the US, but by the time you get the item, it is from outside the country, or some weird fulfillment center. I understand we are a "global economy" and that so many products are made all over the world. Shipping from different countries just take more time. Hopefully the price is low enough to make up for the delayed shipping. This is not just on eBay. It is on the big dog internet sellers as well.

That seller from Israel is dropshipping from Amazon.
What does tracking show?
