My case was denied and I was in the right!
I made a purchase but was never delivered. The tracking says "delivered", but when I investigated, it was delivered to another address. I filed a case with eBay, but they denied it just because it said it was "delivered". They didn't look into it further to see that it was delivered to a Vons supermarket, not MY address (yes, I sent them the proof). Shame on eBay that they did this to me and now I'm out $151.00!!!! It won't allow me to appeal the case, so the case is closed forever, not fair to me, the buyer. This isn't right!!!!

If you go to your purchase history click on the More actions button, then file an Item not received (INR) dispute, it will initially get turned down because that automated system can only check a tracking number for a delivered scan, and due to shipping agencies privacy policies, which do not allow anyone but a seller to access the label address or package type/size/ weight. If your proof was an email, eBay will not accept emails from a shipper sent to you as proof of non delivery, because they can be faked.
When you filed the dispute, it appeared above your purchase history, and when you received the notice that the dispute had been declined there should have been an Appeal button in it. In order to win an appeal you have to do a little leg work. If you lost an appeal you can reach out to ebay via their social media outlets, Open the link below and read through the conversation but click on Go To Best Answer first. There are links to ebay's social media outlets in it.
The good thing about the social media outlets is that the disputes are handled by actual ebay employees (not 3rd party contracted call center phone jockeys) who have limited access to anything. Those employees are familiar with the fake tracking scam, and do have the power to overturn even a lost appeal and issue refunds. You can also send attachments and they have internet access to sites that can verify your information.

·1 year agoIf you filed for item not received, and there is proof of delivery, you will lose the case. What 'proof'did you send to prove you didnt receive the item? Sounds like the fake tracking scam. You need a statement in writing that the item was not delivered to your address, and file an appeal with it.If that doesnt work, and you used a cc, contact them about a chargeback, good luck.
