I''ve found out it does no good to complain to eBay about listed items that do not match descriptions. eBay completely ignores me or replies it finds nothing wrong when the description CLEARLY states different.

Your complaint about misleading item titles is a little broad. Some "misleading" titles could be simple mistakes or done by an inexperienced seller, as others have suggested.
However, if you run across an item that says it was made by a Brand Name, but other things in the listing Photos, Item specifics... lead you to believe the title is intentionally misleading, reports can make a difference, but your proof better be strong. Especially, if the report is about an item in a category you also sell in.

·2 years agoThere is no way eBay could possibly review each and every listing for accuracy, let alone blurry photos and grammar and spelling in the description.
In the listing process, there are disclaimers that sellers see, saying words to the effect that Sellers Take All Responsibility For Their Listings. (Not eBay, but each individual seller.)
However! Some sellers, being human, can sometimes make mistakes. You are allowed to contact the seller to ask him/her to correct a typo or a clear mistake. Be polite but be aware that some sellers may not appreciate your help; you might end up on some people's Blocked Buyers List.
Another way to "punish" a seller whose listings you think are misleading is simply Not To Buy the Thing they are trying to sell.

·2 years agoIf you are talking about something you bought and the item does not match the description, that is what the Money Back is for. Use the item does not match the description are reason for return.
One person using the report button does not do anything, it takes MANY reports from DIFFERENT people to do anything.
Report once and move on don't waste any more time on it.

·2 years agoEbay is not interested in your complaint. You are not reaching anyone at Ebay who knows or cares about your report.
History shows many such complaints were made for ulterior motives, Their preferred methods for detecting incorrect listings is Not As Described Ebay Moneyback Guarantee Claims and bots.
