I have been on ebay since 1998 when i made my first purchase. I havent sold anything on ebay for at least 8 years. And today I got permanently suspended. They wont say why. I had one

listing I should say but no sold items. It was louis vuitton womans purse with the verification option selected. What have i done?

My guess (without having seen the listing or any pictures) is that the bag was fake.

I hear there are a lot of counterfeit purses (bags?) on every selling site. I really don't know how you identify a fake from a pic only.

But if the bag was going through the Authentication program wouldn't eBay just let it be caught there?

It might be due to suspicious activity. You just stated you haven't used your Ebay account in 8 years and all the sudden tried selling a Louis Vuitton purse which has a verification option so Ebay could be suspending you because of that. You do need to try to get in touch with Ebay to get more information.

We're members like you, so no one here is going to know why you were suspended. I suggest you reach out via direct message to the social media CS reps. They're far more likely to give you answers than the regular third-party reps.

I'll also add that you should do nothing with this current ID beyond using it in this forum. It's against eBay rules to create a new ID to circumvent a suspension of another ID.
