I bought an LV wallet from a seller. Seller claimed the wallet is real. Ebay also authenticated the wallet. Saying its real. I received the wallet. The wallet smells very bad. The stitching is not perfect. The bottom part has damage. Now i am stuck. Seller does not take any returns back. What should i do. I have posted all the photos. The bag it came inside also looks fake.

·8 months agoThe problem you're going to have is that ebay authenticated it. And when an "authenticity guaranteed" item passes, the item isn't eligible for NAD (not as described) claims.
My suggestion would be to invest in a 3rd party authentication. You're going to need MUCH better pictures than you've posted here, including crystal clear pictures of the wallet, the stampings, the date code and if you're questioning the dust bag and/or paperwork and props, pictures of those items too.
I've used and trust Authentic Detective for LV.
After getting their determination and if they disagree with ebay's findings, you can try submitting that to ebay as verification that they goofed.

·8 months agoIt would depend for me it the cost of having the wallet authenticated by a third party authenticator was more than recouping the cost via chargeback. Ebay authentication services have recently had a number of reports where the item sold was wrong in some way (SNAD although authentic, good fake passed as real, failed authentication when buyer attempted to resell, etc).

·8 months agoOpen a case, the reason being Item Not As Described.
Just because a seller doesn't WANT to take returns doesn't mean they are not responsible if they send you junk. If they sent you what was advertised and you changed your mind, that would be different.

·8 months agoThat's not necessarily an option with a purchase that goes through authentication. Some purchases are considered a final sale and not eligible for the MBG.
"For items that are eligible for Authenticity Guarantee, an item is Final Sale when both of the following criteria are met:

Per the above, you can open an item not as described return unless the item condition was 'new' or 'new without tags'. If it was you'll need to open a dispute with your payment source.

OP8 months agoIt says i can appeal my case. Should i try that option?

·8 months agoIf you lose the appeal you might get charged an additional 20+ bucks...
And returning it to authentication before the seller gets it back is a process...whether or not it can be returned per the authentication process of this item.
Personally, I wouldn't know a fake one from a real one unless I took it to a retail store to authenticate it.
The photos I have no idea what they mean.

·8 months agoBuyers are never charged for an appeal. Never. Sellers can get a $20 charge for a chargeback. The OP is not the seller.
