Low value items scam
Seller ships damaged low value items
Buyer contacts seller, no response
Buyer requests refund, now has to ship broken low value item
Seller sends address instead of label
Buyer has to pay shipping
Buyer probably gives up
If buyer does send, then Seller claims item never arrived, keeps money and buyer has wasted money sending it back
The whole system enables the seller to do this

·1 year agoYeah if you follow the good advice from mudshark61369 you will get your money back. If eBay steps in they will refund you. Sorry you have to deal with the bad seller though.
You should keep the contents of the "bin" if you still have it though since technically you might be required to ship it back.. although I think it's likely ebay will refund you anyway.

·1 year agoBuyer receives damaged item (value doesn't matter).
Buyer opens item not as described case.
Seller fails to either send prepaid return label or money to pay for shipping within four days.
Buyer returns to case and asks eBay to step in.
Buyer is refunded from seller's funds by eBay and is not required to return the item.
If buyer does return, there should be tracking indicating seller received the returned item, in which case seller cannot claim it wasn't received.
If you've not ever had occasion to read the MBG, now would be a good time to do so.

·1 year agoDid you open a return case? What did you open the case as?
Most times ebay makes the seller provide a return label so it sounds strange that it didn't happen that way.

OP1 year agoSeller only has to claim they sent one, not actually do so
In my situation this is the case
I'm not doing this for me anyway, as far as I can tell this seller has done this to nearly 1000 people and I'm not letting it go even if it costs me.
Problem I have is item was glass bulb x2, I can't post this back, seller knows it, it also went in my bin because I have a small child. I sent the seller the images of the open jiffy bag with broken contents, they're going trough the returns process to avoid refunding
feel like taking the contents of the whole bin to this sellers home address

You have posted your issue on ebay's U.S. Based site's (ebay.com) Community, but the return procedure is the same. If you want to double check the info on your home site use the following link, https://community.ebay.co.uk/
If an item arrives damaged, no matter what the seller's return policy is:
Locate the item in your purchase history click on the More Actions button, then on Return item and from the list of reasons choose Arrived damaged or not working. Follow through to open the dispute which will appear just above your purchase history.
The seller will have 3 days to either send a return shipping label or issue a refund if they do not want to pay the return costs. If they do not respond or make excuses on day four open the dispute click on the ask ebay to step in button. eBay will issue a refund from the sellers account.
